QUOTE (Steff @ Dec 29, 2008 -> 06:07 PM) March 4th and 5th are wrong on this schedule. I have not found a corrected one, but for anyone planning to travel to AZ for either of those days, be aware that the Sox will be playing in Vegas. No idea if the 6th on will remain the same. No one seems to know the answer to that. I do. The 3/4 & 3/5 games correct AND they will also play the cubs in Vegas. These are split-squad games. 1/2 the team goes to vegas and 1/2 the team stays in AZ. These are all away games for the Sox so I wont blame them for this scam, its thebankrupt Cubs. The 6th is a world Baseball game.ST Updated Schedule Link

Cuban right-hander Yadel Marti and outfielder Yasser Gomez have defected and are in an unknown location before attempting to reach the Dominican Republic to seek an MLB career, sources told ESPNdeportes.com. It seemed like only a matter of time. Both were kicked off their team, Industriales de la Habana, earlier this year, likely for plotting to leave the country. Marti was Cuba's best pitcher during the 2006 WBC, but he wasn't given the chance to participate in the Olympics this year. The 29-year-old may not be cleared to play in 2009, but he'll likely get a significant major league deal once he becomes a free agent. Gomez, 28, isn't likely to be pursued as heavily. QUOTE (SoxFanForever @ Dec 28, 2008 -> 05:44 PM) Hard to believe 2 years ago I was only paying ticketfast fees and taxes for free tickets for this team. They are now dominant and selling out every game. Such an amazing turn around. I heard 2 years ago the Hawks had to borrow money from the Wirtz Corp. to make payroll. Glad they did'nt fold. -

QUOTE (SoxFan1 @ Dec 28, 2008 -> 05:33 PM) 2-0 after the 1st period. They have been outshooting their opponents by a mile lately. I hope there's a lot of Twins fans there for this beat-down. -

The only question I had early in the season, was could the Hawks win on the road. Looks like they dont care where they play. And looks like they took care of the slow starts they been having. -

QUOTE (Tony82087 @ Dec 27, 2008 -> 12:57 AM) It really blows. Everyone is home from school, and were trying to get tickets, and really can't. With winning come crowds, so I'll gladly take the large crowds, it just sucks not being able to go to a game when we want. At least they are on TV! Hockey looks so much better in HD. -

QUOTE (Tony82087 @ Dec 27, 2008 -> 12:14 AM) I'm really expecting it to be a s*** game. I'm excited because the Hawks will get some huge national pub, which is great, but it's a shame it's this game, because both teams play an up tempo, back and forth game, which will be mostly eliminated with the weather. So much for the Hawks flying under the radar. By the way it was the largest regular season home crowd tonight. That record will be broken when the Rangers come in, then the Penguins and the Sat. night game on Valentines day. -

I was at the game tonight, the fans were great and the Hawks feed off that. I kept watching the shots on goal totals. we killed them and they did not count all them PP slappers from the point that just went wide of the net. There had to be at least 20. -

QUOTE (whitesoxbrian @ Dec 26, 2008 -> 11:05 PM) Right now, this team is one of the best in hockey. Just an offensive machine and the special teams play has been fantastic. You're right. They are going to win that division and the conference finals. Detroit is really looking old and on the downswing. San Jose had a fantastic start, you cant do that for a full season and the playoffs. -
QUOTE (LosMediasBlancas @ Dec 26, 2008 -> 06:15 PM) Was planning on getting a room in Phoenix. How far is Glendale from Phoenix? Glendale and Phoenix are next to each other. In fact our new stadium is on land owned by Phoenix and Glendale, they share revenue I'm pretty shure.

QUOTE (maggsmaggs @ Dec 26, 2008 -> 10:51 AM) Going to my first Hawks game in like four years, maybe more tonight. So excited, I can only imagine how cool of an atmosphere it will be with the Winter Classic so close and it being the first game back on the seven game winning streak. SO PUMPED!! And to top it off playing another great team in Philly. Hoping for a big Kaner night. You dont want to be late for the National Anthem. It's the best in all sports.
