Santiagos's Screwball vs Guthrie's AL Rebirth
QUOTE (Capn12 @ Sep 9, 2012 -> 03:12 PM) We're going through pitchers like we have a 20 man bullpen I think KC went through their really good ones.

Good hitters do DP quite a bit. OF course so do really bad ones.

Santiagos's Screwball vs Guthrie's AL Rebirth
Even Liilibridge doesn't make a mistake like that.

Crain looks bad.

Santiagos's Screwball vs Guthrie's AL Rebirth
They should turn Beckham into a switch hitter wit the hopes he could unlearn some bad habits batting right.

QUOTE (EvilJester99 @ Sep 9, 2012 -> 02:19 PM) No been listening to the game... you guys gripe more than a bunch of old women though. At the same time you don't get to see how great a job the rookie pitchers are doing today.

QUOTE (fathom @ Sep 9, 2012 -> 02:15 PM) Sox continue to play extremely stupid baseball. Unbelievable Manager with no previous experience getting exposed.

Santiagos's Screwball vs Guthrie's AL Rebirth
QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Sep 9, 2012 -> 03:04 PM) 3-0 Angels. Callaspo 2 run dinger. Now let's win this damn game for ANOTHER 3 game lead going into the Tigers' series. There are Tiger fans hoping the Sox put them out of their misery.

And that's a white sox winner!
QUOTE (Jake @ Sep 9, 2012 -> 12:54 AM) I'd like to have Dunn's 38 dingers I'd like to have him traded back to the NL in the offseason with some salary relief and some potential talent in return.

2012 AL Central Catch-All thread
The Tigers seem to waste more quality starts by their staff than the White Sox.

Why Is Addison Reed Still Closing?
QUOTE (Lemon_44 @ Sep 8, 2012 -> 08:10 PM) The Sox are in first place in mid-September with Reed converting 26-30 save oppurtunities and the bullpen roles pretty much set. He's blown 1 save(a game they ended up winning) since July 19. Yep, let's change things around the last 3 weeks. I'd take Reed in the 9th over Thornton any day.

Just pitch Sale at games at home for rest of season?
They need Floyd back soon.

And that's a white sox winner!
Am I the only one who doesn't miss Adam Dunn? I think his .200 wouldn't be helpful right now.

QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Sep 8, 2012 -> 10:19 PM) http://espn.go.com/mlb/player/gamelog/_/id/5883/zack-greinke TMRW, Zack Greinke Last 3 starts, 3 wins, 21 IP (7 IP in each game), total of 4 earned runs...1.71 ERA opposed by Ozzie's buddy, Anibal Sanchez Lots of pressure on Porcello and Fister the first two games next week, Scherzer has been great and Verlander has been horrible on the road. I'm going to make a silly prediction, whoever wins Game 4, Verlander vs. Sale, that team goes to the playoffs and the other team is out of the WC at the end of the season. A struggling Jose Quintana is going to have his ultimate start to set the tone...otherwise, an 8 game losing streak against DET falls onto Peavy's shoulders. Obviously, it's critical to win one of those first two games to alleviate the pressure on Liriano and Sale against the two Tigers aces. Just as much pressure on Verlander to show up on the road now in the biggest series of the season for both teams. I'm going to make a prediction more Tiger fans show up at the Cell than Sox fans. So it will be like road games for the Sox. Sox still need to take care of business tomorrow.

Cy Sale vs Cy Chen
From motownsports This ump is squeezing the hell out of JV. I'm about to go all Hawk Harrelson. That pitch called on Cabrera looked bad. I could see him getting ticked.

Cy Sale vs Cy Chen
QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Sep 8, 2012 -> 10:26 PM) They were tremendous against KC until they got swept at Kauffman last series. Verlander exited after six innings and 97 pitches. Thus ended his streak of having thrown at least 100 pitches in 80 straight starts. That's more than double the length of any other such streak in the majors in the last few decades, according to Baseball-Reference.com. In Verlander's previous 227 big-league starts, there had been only 20 games (the recent KC start included) in which he allowed as many as four extra-base hits. He gave up that many in the first inning. Dead arm? He didn't look no where as good as Scherzer last Sun. He was facing a slumping Sox team. He was going into long counts when the Sox hitters let him.

Cy Sale vs Cy Chen
BTW how did Sale look today?

Cy Sale vs Cy Chen
QUOTE (The Ginger Kid @ Sep 8, 2012 -> 05:57 PM) Give me Crain from now on. It's September and this kid can't pitch without giving up a run, at least. Even that's questionable. They all scare me except for Veal.

Cy Sale vs Cy Chen
QUOTE (RZZZA @ Sep 8, 2012 -> 05:55 PM) Reed is bad. Good hitters can hit him easily. So do bad hitters.

Cy Sale vs Cy Chen
Greg would love this. There are times I wish we could designate Ozzie late in the game handling the pen.

Cy Sale vs Cy Chen
Please don't tell me this is another one of those giving teams a rally after two outs

Blackout restrictions suck dick. Can't watch this game because Fux Sports thinks Dodgers game is more important.

No Brent Morel on that list? Does Josh Phegley give anyone hope of this organization producing a decent catcher
