  1. QUOTE (fathom @ Jul 17, 2010 -> 06:37 PM) Twins always have such a great approach against Buehrle. Our bat speed better pick up, as Pavano is throwing 91 mph fastballs and only PK has put a good swing on it. Name a team in this division that doesnt own mark. He needs to be traded yesterday, i dont really care how good he's been his last 4-5 starts, teams in this division have no fear of 84mph mark buehrle, christ Cuddyer has 91 PA against him, not fooling any hitter when your best stuff is gone and they face you a million times
  2. QUOTE (fathom @ Jul 17, 2010 -> 11:11 AM) Says? cst_sox By the way, don't expect Q in the lineup on Saturday either, according to Oz. about 12 hours ago via web
  3. Is Ken Rosenthal from chicago? He picked "Team Wacko" to win the world series this year
  4. QUOTE (bucket-of-suck @ Jul 16, 2010 -> 10:50 PM) That is ridiculous. The injured muscle, which has now been repaired, is a decelerator. It will have very little to do with effective pitching mechanics. No reason to think Peavy won't fully recover. I mostly agree but there's a reason he snapped the muscle off the bone, and it's irrelevant as to what that muscle does or doesn't do. Point of fact, he snapped it off the bone while pitching. Meaning something he does, or has been doing BECAUSE OF PITCHING, caused this injury.
  5. This team is seriously incapable of winning OR losing a game to the twins in normal fashion, i.e. 5-4 no errors, no miscues on defense or the other 20-something things that happened the last two nights They are without morneau and still have no problem scoring runs off of our staff
  6. Nice job boys.
  7. Well this team doesnt give up thats for damn sure
  8. QUOTE (fathom @ Jul 16, 2010 -> 10:01 PM) I don't feel bad for him, as he's making a ton of money and the reason he's only pitching that rarely is because he did so awful at his job. Or because he had health issues that lead to the team giving up on being able to rely on him, just a thought, he's had injury problems in the past
  9. Feel bad for scott from a performance standpoint, its gotta be difficult to only pitch once every 1-2 weeks and even be slightly sharp
  10. You cant count on viciedo or quentin to do anything but DH at this point, both are massive liabilities with the glove, platoon lillibridge at 3B with vizquel and jones/kotsay in RF Quentin DH and we'll probably see Viciedo get some time at 1B to spell paulie
  11. Mauer swinging at first pitch wouldnt surprise me
  12. Different team from last 4 weeks
