  1. I kind of wished the Bulls didn't sign Rasual for the sake that we don't have to hear the so call nickname.

    I mean Business as Rasual? Comeon, it's pronounced rah-sool, and I can't recall anyone nicknamed after an idiom.

    On a serious note, Rasual Butler probably handles the ball worse than Bogans, his three point % was at 37% coming into this year, and Bogans is hitting at about the same clip.

    Defensively, I would argue he is a worse fit than Bogans. Bogans is a natural SG and has the quickness to check most 2s, but Butler is a natural 3, and as many has point out, should be better at checking 3s than 2s.

    Outside of game coverage, I don't even watch them anymore. That channel and their "journalism" is a complete joke. In bed with the leagues and big markets, no need to watch that crap. The best part of the story on that link you're referring to is it includes the Knicks, but not the Spurs, who only have the best record in the league.

    Well actually the point of those articles is to have their regional sites promote their local teams and plead their case for No.1. They have an ESPN New York but no ESPN San Antonio. Nobody can actually say the Knicks are the best in the league with a straight face.

    Well that and he wouldn't have that much creativity in the air.

    Ibaka's free throw line dunk was one of the best dunks I've seen in a long time. McGee was also impressive. I would of love to see Blake jump over the entire car from the top instead of the hood of it. He probably could of done it.

    true. his inability to palm the ball limits him to mostly tomahawk dunks in most of the games, and he admits he's not a creative dunker

    but if he decides to give it a go, i think he could have made it to the finals and possibly win it base on reputation and because he's a little man dunker. I really think McGee should have won it yesterday with all those creative dunks. but blake griffin is second to only justin bieber in terms of popularity in LA.

    Rose just worked Tony Parker. Parker got half his points on CJ Watson.

    lol that's wishing thinking considering Watson only played 10 minutes and Parker scored 26

    Parker only scored 4 points on Watson, the rest of the buckets he got were through screen and rolls on Rose.

    Rose got stuck on screen way too often tonight, but I don't blame him, Parker is one of the best in the league in scoring through screens.

    Nonetheless, a great show by Mr. Rose on the offensive end tonight.

    I dont know necessarily what the game plan was, but it couldnt be for Rose/Boozer to both cover Miller and leave Aldridge open. If the Bulls cant figure out how to play the pick & roll they are going to have some tough games.

    it must be the psychological effect. boozer wants no part of aldridge. He absolutes dominated the bulls in the fourth quarter.

  6. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Feb 6, 2011 -> 04:20 PM)
    I'm not really sure I think of half of those guys as creating their own shot. I get the handle the ball part and how that's a weakness of the Bulls, I'm also not sure that many of them are good ballhandlers either.

    guys like odom, turkoglu, and pierce are really point forwards who can bring the ball up court and set up the offense. if you leave guys like ray allen and jason richardson open, you are really asking for trouble. in atlanta, bibby is the pg, but joe johnson, jamal crawford can handle the ball and setup offense. in OKC, durant westbrook and harden can all get their own shots off. we are the only contending team i can think of who does not have another player who can handle and create their own shot.

    i think the point is, and has been for a while, that we need someone who can setup offense, handle the ball and knock down open threes if teams decide to double on rose. It really kills us in the playoffs that if opposing teams send constant double teams at rose and our offense will become extremely stagnant and out of flow.

  7. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Feb 6, 2011 -> 12:59 PM)
    You don't make a trade based on 1 loss on a bad night for one of the best players in the NBA.

    You make a trade because it's the right thing to do based on a consistent problem.

    i think all along the major glaring weakness of the bulls is they don't have another player who can handle the ball and create own shot. if you look at it, all the championship caliber teams has a few players who can handle the ball and create their own shot, i.e. lebron/wade, rondo/allen/pierce, nelson/richardson/hedo and kobe/odom.

    if we don't get a guy like mayo, jr smith, or even anthony parker at the deadline, in the playoffs teams will send constant double teams at rose to pressure the ball, forcing him to give it up or force a turnover, we saw a glimpse of that last year against the cavs.

  8. QUOTE (Rowand44 @ Feb 5, 2011 -> 03:07 PM)
    I can honestly say that besides LeBron, Durant and Kobe there's not a player in the NBA I'd take over Rose for just this season, he's that good already.

    what about howard? he has improved his post game so much this season, averages 22 points a games, demands double team every time in the low post, can single handedly get your entire front line in foul trouble, and also single handedly turn a bad defensive team into a good one, the winner of the last two DPOY, well on his way to a third.

    I would also take wade over rose this season. funny that not so long ago people were debating that whether or not Wade is the best player in the league after lebron, and I don't think wade's game has declined a bit this season, it's just the effect of playing next to lebron

  9. QUOTE (Soxbadger @ Feb 3, 2011 -> 11:57 PM)
    Huh?

    Im saying that because his greatest gift is athleticism Im concerned about the wear and tear his body has taken.

    give it up man. even with all the wear and tear, Wade is still a top 5 player in the league, right now. period.

    Yeah his stats are down a little bit, but he is playing with the best player in the game, and also another all star. His assist are down, but he can still get 8 per game if he was the team's primary distributor.

    wade wouldn't be a great player without his athleticism, yeah, so is lebron, d rose, blake griffin, howard, etc. and guys like durant, allen, nash wouldn't be great players also without their shooting ability.

    and finally, what's with the argument that lebron is the best SG in the league? You argued that he always played SF because that was his best fit position on the team, so that makes it his natural position right? If he was a natural SG, why didn't the Cavs play him at the shooting guard? I guess we can also call lebron the best SF, best PF, and also the best PG in the league?

  10. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Feb 3, 2011 -> 08:44 AM)
    Nice to see BS realize that Rose exists. Save a couple comments on BS Report about him, you'd have no idea there was basketball outside of Boston, OKC, and Los Angeles. It's getting a little tiring.

    At least the next BS Report should spend 5 minutes on Rose before 25 on Griffin and then talking about the Celtics as the best team in basketball!

    As much a homer as Bill Simmons is, he actually thinks Rose is now the best PG in the league, better than CP3, Dwill, and yes, Rondo. He showed great admiration of Rose's play this season in his piece about the ASG last week.

  11. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Feb 1, 2011 -> 04:29 PM)
    There are a lot of people who doubted Adam Morrison too...

    at 6-8, Morrison was probably the least athletic player in the nba and was the slowest player at the wing position. he was worse than kyle korver at putting the ball on the floor and getting to the hoop. the guy also battles type 1 diabetes off the court. it's not a surprise that he turned out as a bust. if you want to compare someone to morrison in this draft, kyle singler would be the closest comparison

    like I said, jimmer is decent athlete, and can probably get to the hoop at the pro level as well. He should also be quick enough to guard an average PG in NBA. He seems like a Orlando type of player, so I don't even think the Bulls will have a chance at him. Given that the Bulls will finish better than the Magic for sure.

  12. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Feb 1, 2011 -> 02:31 PM)
    There is a whole lot of doubt to the NBA-ness of Jimmer. He could very well be a second round pick from the sounds of it.

    most mock drafts have him in the first round and as high as 20th. I think people who doubt him also had doubts about curry and reddick, but they both are very solid pros now. I would also like to point out that Jimmer is more athletic than people give him credit for. I have watched him twice and he definitely brings more to the table than shooting.

    but yeah, like many have said, bulls are picking very late in the first round, assuming they don't trade the pick away at the deadline. i dont really see many impact players going that late besides a Jujuan johnson. taking a great shooter and a good ball handler as a combo guard, and who has a chance to be the next steph curry seems like good value to me.

  13. LMFAO. The most hustle i have saw boozer put in all year at the defensive end, he jumped 4 feet in the air in a block attempt on ryan anderson at the three point line, when anderson was clearly not going to shoot it, then anderson bumped into him for 3 freebies. it was not even close. the dude has no clue on defense, just funny.

  14. the officiating in this game is horrible, rose got fouled on at least 3 to 4 drives to the hoop in the first half and no called was made, then tyrus thomas got bailed out with a p**** foul called when there wasn't even any contact. ronnie brewer got hammered on that layup attempt, no call was made, then the whole building saw augustin travel on that layup but not the refs, and why was rose hit with an offensive foul on the last drive?

    this is easily the worst officiated game of the year so far. do these f***ing refs got money on this game or something?
