Does anyone inside the organization or outside the organization have any pull with Jerry other than TLR, to tell him that the time is NOW to spend the money on FA’s and to not wait until the deadline to trade away more of their young players?!?! FFS! Sorry about my rant. I’m just really mad right now.

I’ve just about had it with how the organization operates when it comes to free agents. The only way this is going to change is when the team is under new ownership and they tear the whole thing down.

They have to fill that hole in RF with a free agent. Now they are going to wait until the deadline, trade more young players for another rental with a bad contract.

You would think this guy just throws stuff at the wall by looking at his account however, by reading his posts he does sound like he knows his stuff. Ken Rosenthal and apparently MLB Trade Rumors credited him so I believe this one.

They aren’t done. Relax. Northwest Bob is just giving his opinion and doesn’t know for sure. It really all depends on if they can move Kimbrel. If they move him than that’s frees up more money, if they don’t than that limits what they can spend on but it doesn’t mean they are done.

If you thought last year was bad than your going to be glad they have more pitchers on their staff this year.

Ehhh I wouldn’t worry too much about this. If Kimbrel gets traded than one of them gets moved up in the bullpen. If they don’t re-sign Tepera there’s an open spot and there’s always the possibility that Lopez is included in a trade.

Scott Merkin is always water carrying for the organization. It seems like he’s never in favor of the Sox making moves or adding free agents.

Pretty soon we’re going to see fire Rick Hahn posts if they don’t sign any major FA’s.

It’s unrealistic to be in on every free agent that’s out there. Signing Suzuki and having him start in the big leagues right away is a big risk especially if he’s unproven and may not be the best fit for the team. Might as well start Colas or Cespedes in the big leagues right away.

Well actually Nightengale did say that Castellanos could fall in our lap but he just didn’t tweet it but right after that article came out linking us to the top outfielders. Also, I may be wrong about this but didn’t Heyman mentioned once before the lockout that Conforto was a good fit for us?

Well if you think about it, it kind of makes sense from what they have been saying. They are just looking for pitching and they are just going to fill their other needs with lesser position players. I agree, inexcusable and not the approach I would take especially for a team with World Series aspirations but maybe they know what they are doing. ?‍♂️

We should’ve just released Kimbrel instead of accepting his option. That money could’ve been used towards a RF or a SP in FA but now it’s looking more and more likely we are stuck with him for one more year. Not a good decision by the FO.

Even though this is a depth signing. $3 million to a pitcher that is not that good is really a risky move. I don’t think this is going to go down as one of Rick Hahn’s better moves but you never know. He can always be released if he doesn’t do well.
