  1. QUOTE (Controlled Chaos @ Oct 14, 2010 -> 12:41 PM) I think you define that phrase differently then pretty much anyone.*sigh*
  2. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Oct 13, 2010 -> 10:08 PM) The early-season over-reactions like this are hilarious. It's not an over-reaction, Keith and Seabrook are racking up minutes because we have no defensemen... thus, "long season." In no way did I mean it's going to be a long, losing, and terrible season. I think we just define that phrase differently...
  3. And this ball game is OVA! Oh well, good luck Rangers, I'm rooting for you the rest of the way.
  4. I can't believe how much time they took on that DP. Terrible baseball. Man, I was hoping the Rays would win. Please pull this out.
  5. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Oct 12, 2010 -> 05:13 PM) Perhaps we can find an effective outlet for your outrage.Quaker Oats always lead me on the path of happiness. Try those.
  6. Lol, Wisniewski with 2-day suspension . http://sports.espn.go.com/new-york/nhl/news/story?id=5678547
  7. QUOTE (Elgin Slim @ Oct 10, 2010 -> 08:39 PM) For the time being there are only 2 ways to win the AL pennant: The first way is to spend like the Yankees and Red Sox, on both the Major league and Minor League levels. The second way is to go into the s***ter for a 5 year period, and emerge with the amount of talent that the Rays have built over the last 5-7 years. Another note: When you spend or draft, at the end of the process, you must possess 2 pitchers with #1 stuff, one of which pitches like a #1, and the other of which pitches like a #2 or #3. The period between 2004-2008 was special because the Yankees made some really bad contract choices. When the marquee free agents returned to the market it was back to this way. As long as the Yankees have a $200 MM payroll and spend it wisely, these are the only ways to compete with them. It does not matter what you do, The Yankees will always win unless you have somewhere close to the amount of talent that they do. This is why, IMO there should be a cap of a $150 MM payroll in baseball. Unfortunately, there is a more level playing field in the NL. I would love a $150 MM cap. It makes so much sense it's rediculous. I hate the Yankees, they should have no pride in winning a WS with a higher payroll than an NL All-Star team.
  8. QUOTE (flippedoutpunk @ Oct 7, 2010 -> 10:38 PM) cant believe i wasted money for season tickets on these losers. season.... OVER kidding right? lol I missed the yelling I do when the Hawks score, I don't do it for any other sport... Only walk-offs and perfect game catches can make me yell like I do for a goal.
  9. I think trading Danks for a big name bat is a decent idea... We have Sale that could fit in the 5th spot nicely, and Freddy can be backup. If Danks and some prospects can get a guy like Fielder, and leave the Sox with enough money to keep Konerko, that would be great. As much as I love Danks, I think we ought to give Sale a shot and get a more solid offense. In a perfect world, the Sox only trade Teahen (prospects), and raise the salary to $130M....
  10. As much as I want the Sox to get him, I think KW is going to be laughed at when the Yankees double his offer. You never know though, it would be a very good move if they were still able to bring back PK (or someone with equal value).
  11. Garcia, pretty much since he has always been a starter, and also had a good season. Pena has been a convenient fill-in, but I don't want him to be starting unless half the staff get's injured in 2011.
  12. I was rooting for the Rays! Well, I guess I'm going to be rooting for the Rangers if (when) the Rays lose the series. I have nothing against the Rangers.
