  1. Rack 'em up!! Still tied at 2.
  2. Hah...the famous "Turkey Neck Hall". I love it.
  3. He sure did. That looked pretty bad. I guess that's one way to get Ramon back in the lineup.
  4. TIE GAME!!!! AJ YES!!!!
  5. Stone Pony will be throwing out the first pitch tomorrow. Good for him. I wonder if he'll wear an O's jersey and a Sox cap like Obama?
  6. CQ!! Launched that one out to center. 2 -1
  7. QUOTE (Thunderbolt @ Aug 7, 2010 -> 06:21 PM) Vizquel managed to make Millwood throw 13 pitches that isn't a bad ab, it's a bad result after a great ab. If his objective was to make Millwood throw 13 pitches, then I would agree. But he needed to at the minimum get Pierre to second. He failed miserably. He gave away a strike on that check swing foul tip and popped out in foul territory.
  8. awful at bat for vizquel there.
  9. The dreaded leadoff walk for pierre...better see you on second within 3 pitches.
  10. That's a kick ass violin right there!!
  11. To those going to the game...Make sure to leave very, very early. It took me 3.5 hours(got there at 8pm) to get to yesterday's game because traffic was the worst I have ever seen it. Normally it would take about 2 hours with bad traffic. Tonite may be a little better, but Bon Jovi and the Blackhawks convention are still in town which is a big part of why it was so bad yesterday.
  12. Well, I just got home from the game and I have to say the Cell is a great place to watch a game. It's my second trip down this week. The post game fireworks show was fantastic. I wish I would have gotten to see more of the kid pitch but it took me about 3.5 hours to get down to the cell tonite and I got there at about 8pm. I live about 15 minutes from the Wisconsin border and it took about 1.5 hours just to get thru the River Rd toll plaza on i-90. I had to laugh when the sign said 99 minutes to downtown. I needed to pick up my buddy who lives up by Loyola and it usually takes him 20 minutes to get to the cell from his place...it took us at least double that. It was the perfect storm of Bon Jovi, Hawks convention & Sox game...along with the normal Friday traffic snarls there always are. By the time I got home, I had driven about 5 hours to watch 2 hours of baseball. This team is just picking each other up and driving in those runs with 2 out. Threets got into a little trouble, but Pena comes in and gets 3 outs on 2 pitches...NICE!!! Some observations. Gabe Gross has a cannon from right field. Harrell showed a lot with his performance, especially with no warning that he was going to be starting for the big club. The post game beer shower was a blast to see. Plenty of hotties in the park tonite. Connie's pizza is good stuff. I saw a couple of the A's relievers hit over 100 on the gun...mercy.
