  1. Can I ask, looking back at the Benson issue now, who would you have drafted at #4 instead? Carnell Williams? Mike Williams? Aaron Rodgers?
  2. Really expecting a good outing here from Jose, he does a lot better in ballparks which don't give up many homers, which Safeco is pretty much a good stadium for. And if he does, what's that 5 real good starts in a row from our rotation, which is what we exactly needed. Pineiro hasn't been great lately, although he shut us down at the Cell, hopefully the hitters learnt something from that though.
  3. QUOTE(Texsox @ Aug 27, 2005 -> 11:24 PM) And with a nice lead, these guys should get some quality playing time. Yeah, and they've got to keep it. No point in trotting out guys like Baj in the 8th in pressure situations with the game on the line, if say the gap has been wittled down to 3 or 4 games. Once we seal the division, or at least a playoff spot, then you get the guys in the pen and in the rotation ready for that October assault. But just remember, if guy A comes up, 1st time he's ever been in the majors and pitches about 5 to 10 innigs and has an ERA above 6, that doesn't mean he's never going to make it.
  4. We've won 3 straight with Joe Crede. He's going NOWHERE.
  5. According to the Sun - Times from this reporter, and Rotoworld; http://www.suntimes.com/output/bears/cst-spt-mully27.html And not good news on Benson either;
  6. QUOTE(Heads22 @ Aug 27, 2005 -> 03:58 PM) I wanna hear an Aussie one! LOL Just send me the technology then.
  7. First Jason and now Alex. I'm gettin worried. Oh and you talk too fast.
  8. Well Anderson showed he can hit righties, so I wonder if Ozzie will still use Timo as a 4th OF against them, or whether Anderson does get more playing time. Great job by the majority of the offense and El Duque for a solid start, and then the pen for lockin it down.
  9. QUOTE(sayitaintso @ Aug 27, 2005 -> 02:21 PM) That's exactly what i was thinking when ozzie left El Duque in for the 8th inning. Probably with the way the pen pitched in Minny, that prob left a little bit of doubt in Ozzie's mind that they would get the job done.
  10. Kong a little unlucky there. Let's hold it together now.
  11. QUOTE(fathom @ Aug 27, 2005 -> 01:51 PM) I thought first homer was on a low fastball. I thought it was on a curveball that he hung in the zone, but I'm not 100% sure on that.
  12. That's the 2nd breakin ball he's hit for a homer tonight. Very, very good signs.
  13. That was just perfect execution from Willie Bloomquist on that one.
  14. QUOTE(fathom @ Aug 27, 2005 -> 12:39 PM) Holy cow! Congrats to Anderson. I didn't think he had a chance vs Felix....I was wrong. I actually did, he seems to do a lot better against pitches down low in the zone, and since Felix has a tailing fastball, I thought Anderson could have done something tonight.
  15. BRIAN ANDERSON!!!!!! His first ever major league HR!!
  16. Did Hutch throw any INT's and how many times was he sacked?
  17. Great AB by Dye, working the counts should be a priority. C'mon Blummy.
