I remember when they traded for Moncada and I was psyched about his speed, but honestly with Robert, Madrigal and Anderson he won't need to steal more than 15-18 bags a year. Oh what fun.
They've been out of the hunt every year since he came over essentially. It's too hard to judge whether he's good "when it matters." His GW HR vs Boston was a pressure moment and he capitalized. As far as I'm concerned he's a good hitter and poor defender but he definitely has a place on this team.
The Sox seem disinterested in service time so I imagine he starts 2020 in the rotation. At worst he gets 2-3 starts in Charlotte and comes up but no way it'll be past Memorial Day.
Two days ago he said everyone is overreacting. Last night he said something has to change with the clubhouse.
