2015-2016 NFL Thread
QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Dec 6, 2015 -> 07:54 PM) I dare you to name a stadium louder when the offense has the ball than Soldier Field. We were waving our arms down to get people to shut up before Robbie shanked the game winner. There is definitely a major party like, let's get drunk as hell atmosphere at Bears games, although I bet many NFL games are similar. Part of the reason my wife and I still enjoy going is the amazing people watching. That being said, it will never be Seattle, but it doesn't help that the Bears suck and they have for a while and it just seems like people don't give a s*** anymore. Fans still show up because Da Bears but there is lots of indifference. You wrote what I tried to when I was pissed. My point exactly. Well done.

Todd Frazier Available
How about actually rebuilding? What good does Frazier do? Keep these prospects and build that way. Every year the same discussion is brought up. Frazier doesn't make the Sox a playoff team in 2016. Signing a 3B over 30 who had a rough 2nd half combined with the fact that their best prospect- Fulmer- would have to be involved is a horrible idea.

QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Dec 6, 2015 -> 05:28 PM) 3-12 their last 15 home games. The worst thing about Bears games is that they're silent. I'm not sure who to blame; building the stadium as the smallest in the NFL with an open concept at the top wasn't too intelligent in terms of making noise then keeping it in. However, I've been to plenty in the last few years. Everyone is talking to one another, taking photos and buying beer. People wear red and yellow jackets and s*** that isn't Bears apparel or at least their colors. During big moments nobody is yelling or clapping. The "4th phase" stuff is s***. There's been a handful of moments when I thought "wow, it's loud in here" like before Rodgers' GW TD in 2013 or Jennings' pick 6 against Newton a few years back, but for the vast majority of the time, there is very little noise to give them a homefield advantage. I've seen games in Atlanta, Carolina, Seattle, Indy, Green Bay, St Louis, Tennessee, Detroit and Chicago and Chicago is by far the worst in terms of noise.

Kane made a slick pass to Anisimov but he got in too deep on Hutchinson. Easy save.

QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Dec 4, 2015 -> 08:23 PM) According to ESPNs Rob Demovsky, both Eddie Lacy and Alonzo Harris missed curfew Wednesday night and that is why Lacy only got 5 carries and why Harris was cut on Thursday Who the hell wants to stay out late in Detroit? I get that literally anywhere has a better nightlife than Green Bay but.... Detroit.....

Greinke to Arizona
QUOTE (Jose Abreu @ Dec 4, 2015 -> 07:46 PM) Given that the D-Backs are my 2nd favorite team, I'm pleased. They're the anti-White Sox: terrific offense, not so terrific defense. A core of Greinke, Goldschmidt, Pollock, and Peralta is comparable to a core of Sale, Quintana, Abreu, and Eaton. Don't the Sox also have a not so terrific defense?

QUOTE (AustinIllini @ Dec 3, 2015 -> 07:37 PM) I don't expect that level of stupidity from Hossa, and Panarin looks pedestrian as of late. This team really misses Brandon Saad. Any team would love Saad. I think they're just missing the young guys producing, not any guy they lost. They have gotten virtually nothing from Teravainen, Dano, or Shaw. Daley's been mediocre. Panarin is still dangerous at least. I might rather have Oduya- they'd be great with TVR as their #5.

QUOTE (AustinIllini @ Dec 3, 2015 -> 07:04 PM) Well this looks to be a complete suckfest. I didn't think it was an overly bad period. For the first 5 and last 5 minutes the Hawks played pretty well. However the score is truly the only thing that matters Andrew Shaw has been horrible. Not exactly what I'd call a smart hockey player.

QUOTE (LDF @ Dec 2, 2015 -> 02:45 AM) well the blackhawks lost 2-1 in regulation play. someone mention, the first game back is an important game, why??? Every game is important. I think you meant that the first home game after a long road trip is a tough game.

QUOTE (LDF @ Dec 1, 2015 -> 12:00 PM) well i will own up, i guess that rumor was really someone creative ideas... here is a question. should the hawks look at moving crawford and pick up Jonathan Bernier - g from tor in a bigger deal. now remember this season Bernier is having a rough start. the trade is to lessen the salary cap for the hawks and help in any future players movement. now, berrier has some really good skills. but i know, not during the season. For a year or so everyone wanted the Hawks to trade for him. It was "look how good he is as Quick's back up!" Now, he's not very good despite playing on a poor team. In short: no.

When I watch Adrian Peterson I'm more surprised when he doesn't gain 5+ yards than when he does. With every other RB, a 4 yard gain is nice. With Peterson it's expected. He has been great today in Atlanta

QUOTE (Tony82087 @ Nov 29, 2015 -> 12:44 PM) 1. No matter the outcome, that OT last night was a blast. I wasn't even mad when the Kings scored, I was just entertained. 2. If someone would have told me the Hawks would be 13-8-3 around the quarter mark before the season, I would have said "Yep, that's about right." They are starting to play better, the Top 4 D pairs have been settled, and comfort level seems to be growing. Obviously some guys are still scuffling and they certainly don't look like world beaters every night, but given all the changes in the offseason, this all seems about right. Agree. My only concern now is getting more from guys like Shaw, Garbutt, Teuvo, Kruger, Kero, etc. Hossa has been playing well, the Anisimov line is on fire and Toews is Toews. Right now it looks like the scoring depth isn't there.

QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Nov 27, 2015 -> 07:12 AM) It really looked like Lacy threw it behind him before he entered the end zone The NFL is a $7 billion company and they can have cameras in pylons, floating around above the field, etc but they can't find a way to get one right on every goal line. Isn't that unbelieveable? QUOTE (SoxAce @ Nov 27, 2015 -> 09:28 AM) Might be the first time ever I actually turned on First and Take (since ESPN is crap anyways) to see Skip Bayless absolutely own the segment and be happy. As we all know he's a big Cutler fan. Bayless is a joke. Last year he said he was off of the Cutler bandwagon. Leave it up to that a**hole to act like he never got off
