  1. Toews may never win a Hart but for my money he's the best in hockey. Great defensively, great captain, great at the dot, can be great when he needs to be offensively. He is unbelievable.
  2. I thought Reigns came off as a badass on Sunday. Someone mentioned him smiling with the bloody mouth- that was cool. He and Lesnar seemed to be actually hitting each other with passion.
  3. Why did Byron just say "here comes Rusev" when Cena issued the open challenge? This guy is crap.
  4. Great show.. but does this mean I have to listen to this clown announce the last 90 minutes by himself?
  5. I thought they made Reigns look about as good as they could have last night despite not winning and getting pinned. Smiling while getting his a** beat and then those punches/spears were really good.
  6. QUOTE (SoxPride18 @ Mar 27, 2015 -> 12:26 PM) I N I He has been pretty damn good the past 2 years, plus he's a pretty big corner. I wonder if he can start from day 1 and push Jennings into the nickel slot CB where I think he is best suited. Also, if you would of told me Alan Ball would be entering his 9th NFL season, I would of thought you were crazy. As an Illini fan, glad to hear he is a Bear and has had a productive career. Ball was really good in 2013. Last year, he tore his bicep. Let's hope that has healed. I love that Pace is signing almost everyone to 1 year deals, except for McPhee.
  7. My predictions: Kidd/Cesaro Rollins Bella's Bryan Sandow Cena Wyatt Sting Lesnar
  8. QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Mar 28, 2015 -> 10:12 PM) Except for Bryce/Steve Alford and any combination of Bill Walton and Magic Johnson announcing. I think you're missing the point. Anthony was arrested for soliciting a prostitute and the decision was made shortly after that Anthony would not call the Final 4. Therefore, by "they" I meant the NCAA.
  9. If you go on the NCAA's website, you'll find a Final 4 advertisement with Charles Barkley...and Greg Anthony. They are the worst.
  10. QUOTE (SoxPride18 @ Feb 12, 2015 -> 07:43 PM) I don't get why they called up Hartman and Cumiskey. Unless a trade is coming, I don't see either playing which is sad because Hartman needs to be playing like Teuvo. Maybe Shaw is getting traded Ross and Hartman are pretty much Shaw equivalents. I'd trade Shaw in a heartbeat. He honestly provides nothing.
  11. QUOTE (witesoxfan @ Jan 13, 2015 -> 10:51 AM) At the same time, the Sox last 2 second round picks look like absolutely phenomenal prospects at this juncture, and those picks occur after the compensatory round. It'd be a ways out. At the very, bare minimum, it's a safeguard. Is "absolutely phenomenal" really the correct verbage? Adams was nothing special last year, and while Danish has been good, he's still at WS. Let's hold off on absolutely phenomenal for now.
  12. QUOTE (HickoryHuskers @ Jan 9, 2015 -> 02:16 PM) OK, I'm going to think like a player and not like a fan. The Cubs would be #2 after the Sox for the reason that I like Chicago that much more than any other major league city. I'm not going to list a single #3, but if I can't live in Chicago, my next tier of choices would be Cincinnati, St. Louis, Denver and Milwaukee Cities I really want no part of are Seattle, Boston, Philadelphia, Miami, Tampa Miami, Boston and Seattle are great cities. Do you list them for other reasons? QUOTE (knightni @ Jan 9, 2015 -> 08:45 AM) 1. Cardinals - Always compete for the playoffs, new stadium, crazy baseball fan base. 2. Giants - Winning franchise, awesome part of the country, amazing park. 3. Yankees - Crazy tradition, huge fan base, lotsa cash for you if you succeed. 1. Cubs - Ancient stadium, cold Aprils and Octobers, no post season. 2. A's - Cheap ownership, fickle fans, bad stadium. 3. Blue Jays - Ugly stadium, Tough to make post season, have to live outside of the U.S.A. I've been to Rogers Centre. It's not so bad. The Canadian people are the nicest kind you'll come across. The money exchange sucks though and you're right about the tough to make the playoffs thing. St Louis is great... but the city is horrible. No thanks.
  13. With all things being considered, what 3 teams would you most want and least want to play for? 3 top teams I'd want to play for: 1) Sox- hometown team, favorite team 2) Angels- great weather, always competitive 3) Red Sox- love Fenway, love the tradition, always competitive 3 top teams I wouldn't want to play for: 1) Indians- for the most part not competitive anymore & thus no fan base, horrible city 2) Rays- no fan base, bad stadium, no more Maddon 3) Braves- no fan base, way too hot in the summer
  14. QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Dec 23, 2014 -> 11:54 AM) So texts between Ray McDonald and the girl he (allegedly) raped indicate that Aldon Smith came over and they all drank a bunch of vodka and cranberry together. Looks like Aldon will be taking some more time off soon The Bears should offer a 3rd round pick. QUOTE (Quinarvy @ Dec 23, 2014 -> 07:12 AM) Bummer about Willie Young. Hope he heals up fine but...Achilles injuries are no joke. He was walking around Southlake Mall in NW Indiana yesterday. I'm not one of those guys, but shouldn't that thing be resting?
  15. TRADE IDEA!! Sam Bradford and a 5th to the Bears for Cutler and a 7th. Bradford and Cutler have almost equal contracts for next year, but the Bears would be out of Bradford's after next year. When Tampa cuts McCown, sign him to compete with Bradford. Loser either 1) gets cut next January (McCown) or 2) walks away to FA (Bradford).
  16. QUOTE (MexSoxFan#1 @ Dec 17, 2014 -> 09:43 PM) Emery has to go. Not only did he bring the embarrassingly bad Trestman (who now we painfully know why he was never considered HC material when he was in the NFL a decade ago) but he also decided that Cutler should get paid more than Rodgers, Brady, Manning, Brees, Romo etc. You cannot whiff that badly and survive. Only thing that can save him is if he can get Jim Harbaugh, short of that, GTFOH. He also whiffed on his first 1st rounder, has really only hit on 2 picks in 3 years, waited until the 4th round last year to take a safety (their biggest need), gave huge deals to Allen and Houston, and extended Jennings. Ugh. QUOTE (Swingandalongonetoleft @ Dec 17, 2014 -> 10:39 PM) Unless their purpose is to shut him down to avoid an injury (which would be the cherry on top of this s*** Sundae), I agree. Have him come back healthy for camp with the added bonus of being able to see what Clausen can bring. If that end ups being nothing, then maybe it will be addressed in the Draft. Unless there is a trade brewing, there is no way this is the end of Cutler on the Bears. This season isn't all on Cutler, but it's no surprise that he's being singled out for it alongside the awful Head Coach and the GM who hired him. A lot of Bear fans seem to have been relishing the opportunity to do this since the year he got here. It wouldn't shock me if the benching is partly to shut Bear fans up. This has to be the end for Cutler, Emery and Trestman. Go into a full rebuild with David Shaw or Todd Bowles. Trade down in the draft to rack up picks. Trade vets (Forte, Marshall, Bushrod) for picks. It's time.
  17. QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Dec 17, 2014 -> 06:31 PM) What's the highest draft slot the Bears can achieve this season? 7? If the Bears lose their next two and Atlanta AND the Giants win 1 (or both) of their last 2, the Bears will pick 7th.
  18. QUOTE (Markbilliards @ Dec 14, 2014 -> 04:37 PM) Pablo Ozuna. But probably at least half that team used something at some point in their career that wasn't legal. And Rowand.
  19. 1. Robertson is great 2. Eaton stays healthy 3. Garcia has 23+ HR's and hits .280.
  20. Someone earlier in this thread said this signing makes the Sox lineup average, but I totally disagree. If Eaton can stay healthy and Garcia progresses, they have the potential to be very good.
  21. I have watched this team and been disgusted for awhile now. There are rumors they had a cheater on their 2005 team not named Ozuna. Cabrera proved last year that he's a good player without PED's. I'm ready to watch a winner.
  22. I have a friend who works for the Bears who told me that Cutler is literally the definition of "first one in, last one out" in terms of work ethic. Anyone who says he doesn't care is going strictly off of body language.
  23. QUOTE (thxfrthmmrs @ Dec 9, 2014 -> 05:33 PM) 5 /$120 for Shark is too much. $25 mil is ace money, and you are talking about a guy some of you are saying isn't better than Q. Essentially, we'd be paying him 6/$130 for the next 6 years. That would be close to what Lester gets, and Scherzer would end up getting around 7/$175 this year. I'd much rather have a superior pitcher for a little bit more without giving up Semien and a cost controlled young pitcher like Bassitt. I was thrilled when the initial report last night was Semien, Thompson, and Beck being dealt. Was definitely upset to see Bassitt go. Losing Ravelo hurts, though getting Ynoa back sweetens the deal. After hearing a suggested extension figure now, this deal now becomes less and less of a steal for us and may actually be great value for the A's. 5/120 is $20, not $25, a year.
  24. QUOTE (GreenSox @ Dec 9, 2014 -> 02:14 PM) The Sox didn't give up anything really special; but they shouldn't for 1 year of a player. They also didn't give up a bunch of chumps either. Ravelo is a high OBP guy that will be able to play 1B for some teams (who have power elsewhere). Semien is a nice infielder. Bassit was really improving. I wouldn't have done this deal for 1 year of Shark. But they've certainly done worse trades. The pitcher they got back is the type they've been loading up on - high K, but no control. These guys you're speaking of were practically nobodies in a system that is horrible. I'm really not worried. I think Samardzija signs an extension, and with the Oakland does things, Semien will be with someone else in 4 years. QUOTE (woods of ypres @ Dec 9, 2014 -> 02:30 PM) I want to be excited but I am a bit troubled by him moving from the NL, and a pitchers haven to the Cell.... He actually came from the AL, technically.
  25. QUOTE (SoxPride18 @ Dec 8, 2014 -> 09:31 PM) He does. Then sign an extension.
