  1. I have, let's just say, a source inside 87.7 who is one of many getting fired. Long story short: the station isn't making the money they expected- except Kap and Haugh- so they're going to be all of their resources into that. It may move to 720 or move to TV permanently.
  2. QUOTE (witesoxfan @ Aug 12, 2014 -> 02:03 PM) That homer he hit off Guardado was awesome. I remember freaking out in my living room at the time. Thomas came up the next inning, hit a long one foul and then hit a long one fair. I don't recall the year but I remember they were losing something like 10-0 after the first few innings against the Cubs. Wood or Prior hit Konerko in the head, he stayed in, and ended up hitting 2 homers. They ended up winning 15-11 I believe.
  3. QUOTE (bmags @ Aug 8, 2014 -> 04:12 PM) Defensive end might be weak, but even there Austen Lane is better than most of the crap we had at DE last year. In DT, if rookies suck, Nate Collins has shown a lot already. I'm just not worried at all about the dline. The LBs on the other hand...mercy. Briggs is good, Williams is good (if he's healthy), and Bostic can't be as bad as last year.
  4. Let me start this by saying I'm not a huge NBA fan or a Bulls fan, but one of the best teams in any four year span (Miami) just broke apart. Indiana lost their best player to a gruesome knee injury and is out for 2014-2015 (maybe longer), and the Bulls aren't going to make a play for Kevin Love? Obviously, they could be under the radar but every analyst has Love going to Cleveland. Shouldn't the Bulls make a better attempt for Love? If Cleveland gets Love, they pretty much become the new Miami, but the Bulls could become the new Miami, too. Ok, rip me to pieces.
  5. QUOTE (ewokpelts @ Jul 25, 2014 -> 09:05 AM) He saw yaz there. And Catfish.
  6. QUOTE (Buehrle>Wood @ Jul 26, 2014 -> 11:23 AM) Sale has the better record, WHIP, more complete games, walks less people, gives up less hits, doesn't throw a s*** ton of wild pitches. Felix has the better ER numbers, strikes out slightly more, and has pitched 7 more starts due to Sale's DL trip. There's certainly an argument to be made for Sale but the numbers are all very close except for starts made. And Sale pitches in a park that is a hitter's park while Safeco is a pitcher's park.
  7. QUOTE (RockRaines @ Jul 25, 2014 -> 11:23 PM) I love football
  8. QUOTE (GreenSox @ Jul 23, 2014 -> 04:39 PM) Sox have some key pieces who are still young. But they need about 3 more starters besides Rodon, a couple of infielders, 2 outfielders, a catcher, and a couple of bullpen pitchers better than they have now. Some answers may be in the minors, they could sign a couple of free agents, and they could probably upgrade 2-3 positions if they trade Danks and Alexei. But this is a 75 win team right now. They would go to a 6 man rotation?
  9. QUOTE (Brian @ Jul 13, 2014 -> 12:21 PM) The little sports talk I listened to, I've put them on just to hear something different. You almost forget Jared Payton is on, because, well, he doesn't talk much. Just like you forgot how to spell his first name
  10. QUOTE (Rowand44 @ Jul 21, 2014 -> 09:24 PM) Was hoping they'd eventually go that route. Awesome. There had been rumors about Kofi going heel. I wonder if this is it. By the way, is Steph fake? That cleavage was nasty.
  11. QUOTE (RockRaines @ Jul 21, 2014 -> 06:25 PM) Should have unloaded him, cancer on the team. Get Ryan Miller for him.
  12. QUOTE (OilCan @ Jul 19, 2014 -> 03:21 PM) You can never heave enough talent in your pipeline. If he can help both offensively and defensively, why not "poke the tires" and see what you can do? Poke the tires, like, spin the tires?
  13. And yes, Rusev-Swagger is awesome. They gave them the 8:00 hour and they killed it.
  14. Last week I said I don't buy that he is coming back, but now, I have to believe Punk is coming back eventually. Another thing that makes sense is that he would never see AJ if he stays retired and she keeps wrestling. Yes, I know a lot of guys have wives that aren't in the business.
  15. QUOTE (Buehrle>Wood @ Jul 14, 2014 -> 07:11 PM) So Cena and Reigns sit there while Dean gets murdered. Nice job being faces I'd guess it would be too far of a run to save Ambrose. QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Jul 14, 2014 -> 07:16 PM) Sheamus trying to get "fella" over is amusing I don't even know what "fella" means, honestly.
  16. Ambrose is a bad face, IMO. He plays the bad guy role so much better.
  17. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Jul 13, 2014 -> 05:28 PM) I think Nikola is going to sign dirt cheap. Still, thef***'s starting at the 3? 3 years, $17 million
  18. QUOTE (BigHurt3515 @ Jul 12, 2014 -> 12:34 PM) Winning will be so much sweeter when we do it without another big name
  19. No one said the transition would be easy, but the Hawks have done a good job of bringing up guys who have proven to be solid role players, like Raanta, Shaw, and Saad. If you go back a few years, you could say the same for Bolland, Hjalmarsson and Kruger. If there's an organization I believe in, it's this one. Johns, Dahlbeck, Clendening, McNeill, Hayes (if they can ever get him here), Teuvo and even Danault are all good prospects who should be solid contributors around Kane, Toews, Sharp (?), Keith and Hossa.
  20. QUOTE (IlliniKrush @ Jul 10, 2014 -> 11:11 PM) And the replacements are...? It's super easy to get under the cap, if that's all you're trying to accomplish here. The challenge is fielding a Cup worthy team while doing so. Again, going to rely on a ton of young, cheap talent soon. That is absolutely something to be worried about. I'm ready for Johns, Dahlbeck and Clendening. Johns compares to Seabrook (size), Clendening to Leddy (offense) and Dahlbeck to Oduya (stay at home). It's weird that it's the case but it's true.
  21. Quick poll: what's the best and worst show on 87.7?
  22. The organization hates Leddy, Oduya and Seabrook will move on when their deals are over, and Sharp is going to be dealt eventually. Crawford might be gone in the next 2-3 years, too. There has to be a decent way to get out of the Hossa deal, as well. Once again, I'm not worried.
  23. I wonder if Wyatt will ever be a true main eventer consistently. WWE loves him as the reports indicate, but it's weird that they never thought about him winning the MITB and the rumors now are that he won't headline WM31. If they love him, why not? He is already over after his Cena feud and he doesn't need this Y2J stuff, although it is gold.
