  1. Having never met a terrorist, I can't argue their educational level. IIRC, several of the 19 hijackers were educated in distinguished schools throughout Europe. But we're giving these hijackers too much credit as too assume they used physics to try and find vunerable points below the WTC. Hell, give me a blue print of the towers and I could of guessed which areas of the building would be ideal for a collapse. I say "guessed" because I never would of believed that a simple truck-bomb could take down a 1,000 + foot tower with hundreds of concrete support columns. Bin Laden, a man who had an understanding of basic engineering, knew that a plane full of jet fuel would soften the steel truss columns and collapse the floors above the crash. If terrorist were intent on studying the technological developments of today then i agree Jug, the terror they could release on the world could be unimaginable. Then how about invading Saudi Arabia? Haven't money trails from all 19 terrorists been tracked back to affiliates of the Royal Family? Not to mention nearly all hijackers lived within Saudi Arabia... Terrorists will begin to work around this belief. By recruiting muslim loyalists who might not fit the "typical Arab profile" they could avert suspicion. Though selective searces could be more effecient to air travel. Scanning an old lady for explosives in an airport is ridiculous and a waste of time. But we can't use the belief of terrorists only arriving out of the united states because Kazinski (?) and McVeigh both were Americans terrorists. Although conspiracy theorists believe McVeigh's accomplice Terry Nichols met with Iraqi intelligence agents in the Philippines, I will just assume the OK bombimg was the work of the two men alone. Wouldn't this go against the founding principles of our nation? Majority of men from muslim descent that move here from the Middle East are not intent on killing Americans. Though I do understand the argument that when America allows every person to enter this country with only indentification and a visa its possible terrorists are exploiting our freedoms. If another terrorist attack occurs on par with 9/11 the American view on foreigners will change dramatically.
  2. Good advice. I would just hate to drive down to the Cubs-Sox game and walk away without tickets.
  3. Aboz became a sensitive baby. "WAAAA, Brando said John Rooney is bad so I'm going to leave!" HE GAWN.
  4. "Six inches off the plate," says Stone on a pitch to A loser. No dumbass, on the replay it was shown the pitch touched the outside corner. I HATE Steve Stone...... :fthecubs
  5. Instead, he f***s up a suicide squeeze......Pittsburgh wants to lose.
  6. Benson would do himself better striking out then attempting to bunt or hit
  7. 2nd and 3rd nobody out. Maddox wont last too long today.
  8. Maddux f***ing blows! How about another five spot, Pirates.
  9. What the hell happened? How'd the Flubs score two runs this quick
  10. I recall last month when I was b****ing about the lack of availability for single game Sox-Cubs tickets and you said they (White Sox) would sell remaining seats at a later time. Well, has this day passed unnoticed or have they already sold out the three games?
  11. During a spring traning game in which Wright was pitching, KW was in the booth with Hawk and DJ. He said Wright lost velocity on his fastball due to a new delivery in which he could "control" his pitches. I swear I've seen Wright hit 95 consistently over the last few years, and yesterday he was around 92.

  15. I'm not questioning his development from last season. What I'm wondering is rather you feel he should be platooned in the 5th starters spot. As of right now I feel he should be kept in the long relief role.
  16. Its a different mindset upon a pitcher to start a game. Cotts failed in New York because he couldn't take the pressure, which translated into his wildness; not because of Jerry Manuel. Why take a pitcher out of role which he succeeds in? If Cotts pitches well as a long reliever then you better keep his ass in that role.
  17. Because he came out of the bullpen today for 2.1 innings and gives up 1 hit and zero runs he deserves a starter spot? Last year when Cotts imploded in New York Wright shut out the mid season-form Yanks for 7 innings. On another occasion last summer he pitched 7 innings for a save (don't see that too many times these days). Both Cotts and Wright are better suited in the bullpen. Until a viable substitue is found I would let Wright continue in the 5th spot because he has proven himself as a starter. (Atleast in 2002......)
  18. You're not going to get a fair price on tickets, but finding a scalper should be no problem. I've bought 5 dollar bleacher tickets from scalpers outside 35th and Shields. Its not as if they hide in the shadows of the park. You just have to walk along 35th and find someone selling them. Incase you're wondering, police are not tough on preventing scalpers from selling tickets.
  19. They will be f***ed. Realistically, can anyone expect the Royals/Twins to consistently come-back and win during the late innings. I'm not worried or phased by this trend; how about KC and MIN dominate the first 7 innings and not the last 2.
  20. That's a VERY bold prediction. I would love nothing more then the Flubs to flop, but 20 games under 500 is not very realistic. (Unless an array of injuries befalls the starting rotation, bullpen, and lineup). Regardless...... :fthecubs
  21. The conspirist within me believes JR wouldn't mind the Sox out of contention come mid-season. Trade Maggs before All-Star break you get recieve quality players and/or minor leaguers in return. JR wouldn't have to worry about paying him 12+ over several years and could distribute the 14 million to fill other voids on our team Orlando Cabrera, Edgar Renteria, and Octavio Dotel are quality free agents next year.... Regardless of a last place finish or World Series title Maggs will leave the Sox for any team willing to dish the money. A first round draft pick is all the Sox would recieve for an MVP caliber player. With all the potential (key word) outfield talent in our system, management could view Maggs as expendable. I personally believe he is a cornerstone to our teams future, but when one man ties up an entires teams payroll he's not worth the price.
  22. If JR is serious about keeping Maggs he has to increase the years (and of course lower the price). Maggs said himself he can picture playing in NY, and with the ridiculous contract they will no doubt offer him Sox need to act quick. Let the Yanks have Carlos Beltran instead.
  23. Weren't our two wins against Freddy Garcia? Remember one at Safeco we destroyed Seattle 12-1 one game, don't recall the other
  24. He's not misleading anyone. That search feature must ignore The White Sox if they don't show up under their own area code.
  25. Donkey, try 60463. South suburb 10 minutes from Chicago, I would be surprised not to see White Sox; it is the closest major sports franchise to my town.
