  1. Please give us six more outs, bullpen. I can’t watch another walk off loss
  2. Sox rebound well after embarrassing losses. They need a good 10-2 win today to put yesterday behind us
  3. Everyone here on Soxtalk has done a great job debating the merits of the different options for #1. I don’t follow the draft like I used to, but personally, I’m on board for Emerson. Yes, it carries more risk and requires faith in your organization to develop him. BUT I’d rather go for the highest ceiling than the highest floor
  4. I admire everyone that continues to visit this site and post daily. It’s very tough to continue investing time into the White Sox. Atleast we have the draft to look forward to, right?
  5. Honestly, I admire Baltimore for what they did. They recognized a better path forward for their team and switched course not caring one bit what everyone else thought. The difference between Hendrickson and Crosby is not worth two, first round picks. I just think to myself, how would the Bears have handled this situation? They would have honored the original trade agreement because they are an organization of integrity and the McCaskeys would never allow it. Right? How would the Ravens have handled the situation with Ian Cunningham and the draft picks? Or the Eagles? Maybe the end result would’ve been the same, but this whole good guy, follow the rules, be a model organization - sometimes it’s justified to be in the grey area. The Ravens are there now and everything is working out fine for them
  6. Absolutely. And while I’m grateful for the season (and playoff win), there’s a feeling that the Bears may be in store for a huge letdown next year. I can only hope the coaches and Poles feel similarity. The “magic” of the late game comebacks and defensive turnover abilities masked a lot of issues. I understand the clutchness and will to win from Williams - but that completion percentage needs work. I believe he even acknowledged it yesterday. We’ll also need to spend a significant amount of draft capital on the defense. No one expected the Bears to be winning a Super Bowl this season. But the path was there to make an unexpected run.
  7. This was looking like his best opportunity for a Super Bowl.
  8. lol that’s the exact same thought process I have with Williams. He goes from garbage to generational in a couple quarters. And every game I go through the same thought process
  9. Yeah I just saw that on the post game show. The kids may say a bit cringy, but hey, Chicago loves him and that’s all he needs to care about
  10. Williams showing emotion, holding back the tears in the post game interview. I can’t believe they pulled this one out.
  11. Now we can blame the defense again
  12. When is Jordan Love going to give us a vintage INT?
  13. Defense giving it right back on schedule
  14. Terrible. Again
  15. Need a stop defense. Just one more
  16. I was 100% on board the decision with how the defense looked the 1st half, and the last 3 (4?) games prior.
  17. Unreal 2nd half adjustment. At the point, the blame meter is shifting towards Williams
  18. That’s what is maddening. Fail with what has been the 3rd ranked rushing team in the league on a 4th and 1 is acceptable risk. Just get the fucking 1st down then worry about the cute play calls
  19. GB is fully committing to stopping it too. They’re daring Williams to beat them. Keep throwing those easy pickups until they learn
  20. Everything he does looks difficult. Never appears comfortable in the pocket.
  21. GB receives 2nd half. They need a TD. It’s about playing catch-up at this point and every time the defense is on the field we have to expect a touchdown.
  22. Why even bother running the ball? Love has all the time sitting back to throw.
  23. good job by Booker getting a shot in on love. You know he’s feeling way too comfortable with himself taking a run like that.
