    I love hearing that because the DBacks have the position player prospects that the Sox are looking for. And I've said that is the most logical place for Peavy to land.

I don't think he is a stud prospect, but a guy who can possibly put up a .250 BA and .350 OBP, knock out 20-25 homers, and drive in 75 plus every year while playing above average D (although he might wind up in LF if he gets any slower). Worst case scenario, we would at least have a QB to throw the rock around to Mitchell, Hawkins, and Jacobs.     Yeah I agree. These next couple of weeks are going to be.very interesting now that everyone is getting healthy and hopefully (knock on wood) stays healthy.

    I agree with you. Peavy is a more reliable pitcher who is cost friendly and controlled through next year. And are the Cubs really asking for Feliz? That's crazy.

    I agree. But then I think if Peavy could get 2 good starts in. Raises his price for the DBacks as he's the best pitcher available after Garza

    Read from another poster on a Sox board that he listened to Buster Olney's podcast today talking about the White Sox. Olney had Gonzalez, the Sox beat writer and both said there is hardly any interest in Alexei.

     

    However, major interest in Rios from Texas and Pittsburg. Lots of interest in Crain from Texas and the Red Sox. And lots of interest in Peavy from the DBacks and the Giants. What you guys think?

     

    Personally, I would package Rios and Crain to Texas for Sardinas, Williams, Jackson, and Payano.

     

    Then package Peavy and Lindstrom for Davidon, Owings, Lamb, and Anderson

    Personally, I would like the White Sox to put a little more weight on baseball acumen, and a little less on being "toolsy" when evaluating players. Something of a mix. Obviously they need to have talent, but not always more is better. The Sox need some baseball players, not just athletes disguised as them.

     

     

    I agree that the Sox just need baseball players. They might not be the most athletic person in the world, but knows how to play the game and is smart about it. That's the problem though, we know that Hahn and Kenny aren't looking at guys that are that, but very toolsy and raw.

    Alex Rios is a good player who, like everyone, wants this situation resolved, but Hahn has to get scouting reports and offers and evaluate and posture, and other teams have to do the same thing, and all the while Rios is twisting in the wind never knowing where he's going to be employed the following day. It's not easy for him right now, but he's handling it like a champ. Maybe relax and let it all play out.

     

    I agree. People always say on here that this player has little value and then when we do make a trade, that they expected more for that one player. Rios, Alexei, Peavy, Lindstrom and Crain all have value to teams. I expect Hahn to make the right moves. Hopefully.

    I agree on the relievers being a year in year out thing. But with Reed he has a fastball between 93-96 with a plus slider and a plus change up. Honestly, I think you're being a little greedy. You.don't need overpowering stuff to be a closer, just one who can step up in the 9th. Reed has done that with 24-28 save attempts and 2 of those the defense failed him.

     

    Personally, Reed has been tremendous in save situations and will only get better.

    I wouldn't mind Dunn and De Aza to a lesser extent because he still is having a pretty good year offensively. Reed hasn't even hit arbitration yet, and that's not how you do a rebuild. He is controlled for 4 or 5 more years unless you're absolutely blown away with a deal.

    Marlins have 35 wins. Astros have 33 wins. White Sox have 37 wins. We can very well be in contention for that number 1 pick considering were about to be major sellers at the deadline. Marlins and Astros will essentially have the same teams.

    Rios might be the best outfielder and hitter out on the market.

     

    Alexei has been tearing it up as of late.

     

    De Aza is also killing the ball.

     

    Peavy coming back soon barring his rehab start.

     

    Anyone else think we can actually get a decent haul for De Aza and Alexei?
