  1. Trevor Cahill is not as good as I remember him being...
  2. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ May 9, 2014 -> 09:27 PM) The problem if Viciedo goes to DH is that we're absolutely desperate for a left handed hitter somewhere in the lineup. Eaton leads off and then we have 7 righties and De Aza somewhere in the middle. My hope is that left handed Micah Johnson is starting by then.
  3. Yu Darvish has a postgame show lined up through 6 IP
  4. QUOTE (BigHurt3515 @ May 9, 2014 -> 09:23 PM) Great play by Beckham. he is playing much better of late Agreed, but I still prefer Semien
  5. I think one of Gillaspie or Davidson will have to go, eventually. Likely Gillaspie. Next year, with Dunn gone, Viciedo should DH, leaving Gillaspie and Davidson battling for 3B.
  6. Isn't Gillaspie something like 3-6 since coming off the DL? He and Abreu seem to hit well next to each other.
  7. QUOTE (caulfield12 @ May 9, 2014 -> 09:05 PM) Jenks and Dotel come to mind. Marte, before Thornton. But lasting five years is very, very unusual these days. Saw where Nick Masset was still in the big leagues as well, I think with the Rockies. Eric Stults has had a LONG career now in the NL West, we just gave him a very limited shot in Chicago and dumped him. You're right about Jenks and Marte. Dotel was only here for 2 years.
  8. OT- A Boston Red Sox fan with Down's Syndrome sang the National Anthem at the Red Sox/Rays game last week. Good story. http://bleacherreport.com/articles/2058067...amming-national
  9. QUOTE (caulfield12 @ May 9, 2014 -> 08:58 PM) Maybe that will result in an attendance spike/bump, haha. Just maybe. What is it with all the former White Sox relievers everywhere? The Rangers have Frasor, Poreda and Cotts alone. When you think about it, we haven't really had "staple" relievers who stay in our bullpen for 5+ years. Outside of Matt Thornton.
  10. QUOTE (raBBit @ May 9, 2014 -> 01:19 PM) No more Maikel Cleto for you? It's not that I thought he was a good pitcher, but I felt like he was being unfairly viewed here. After last night, though....
  11. My picks to click are Goldschmidt and Gillaspie
  12. QUOTE (HickoryHuskers @ May 9, 2014 -> 06:47 AM) Apparently Indiana is not 'regional' enough to Chicago. I got a Trout cover. That's odd, Indiana should be considered regional.
  13. It's expected to be about 81 at first pitch.
  14. I can't wait to see Abreu hit in this Cuba-esque weather.
  15. QUOTE (Jose Paniagua @ May 7, 2014 -> 10:28 PM) 'kyle'? I always read it as 'kyiiiee' Me too. The lowercase l mixed in with the capital letters makes it look like an I. Lol
