Sox were never playing for it this year. They came off 3 consecutive seasons of loosing 100 games and were filling in spot hoping for peeps in minors to step up like they have been doing. No one in baseball would have thought the sox would .500 much less over it competing. Then you throw in players getting injured or specs not progressing makes it worse. Going forward until the team sells its either going to be hoping fillers work out cause jerry would have to spend money on more competent players or start trading of the farm to get what they need.

Wil might have made a dumb decision but maybe getting schultz out game saved them giving up more runs. Honestly send Schultz down and bring up another arm.
