  1. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ May 13, 2016 -> 07:33 PM) He is just making it look easy. Sale has been a bullpens best friend this season.
  2. 84 PC in 7.2 IP. Couldn't pitch it any better on a video game
  3. QUOTE (Quinarvy @ May 13, 2016 -> 07:22 PM) Then we need to consider the defense. It's making it so he (and Quintana) don't have to rely on themselves to record outs. Sale's becoming an even better pitcher and that's scary for the rest of the league. It's certainly taken some pressure off of them. Now they can just worry about pitching.
  4. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ May 13, 2016 -> 07:20 PM) Sale is just on autopilot. Or super sim
  5. QUOTE (raBBit @ May 12, 2016 -> 11:53 AM) Just came to post this, hah NorthSideSox been calling this one since way back in the off season. Yes he did. I'm glad he's struggled. Gives him some early struggles to learn from and bounce back.
  6. QUOTE (chw42 @ May 13, 2016 -> 06:55 PM) This game is flying by. That's good. I have the Penguins game recording. Switching to that next
  7. QUOTE (chw42 @ May 13, 2016 -> 06:52 PM) Hawk had to Google Jimmy Rollins to figure out how good he was. ???
  8. QUOTE (chw42 @ May 13, 2016 -> 06:48 PM) I love the efficiency. My only fear is that one of these days, one team is gonna get lucky and get hits off him on those balls in play. But then again, I think Chris can turn it on whenever he wants and throw 96-97 to get the Ks. He's not perfect. That will happen. Some team will bomb him. He'll bounce back and continue to roll towards the CY Young.
  9. QUOTE (BigHurt3515 @ May 13, 2016 -> 06:47 PM) But strikeouts are sexy Those will come. He's nasty in general.
  10. QUOTE (God Loves The Infantry @ May 13, 2016 -> 06:36 PM) My Rangers fan wife just saw Mark Teixeira and asked if the Yankees were the retirement home of MLB. I told her that, between Tex, Beltran, CC and ARod, they are. Even McCann could probably fit in this category. I like having one old vet like Rollins on the team, but I have no idea how anyone can get excited about a roster with six of them. Well they got them on gigantic contracts. I'm sure they regret it now.
  11. QUOTE (chw42 @ May 13, 2016 -> 06:39 PM) I thought that ball was gone off the bat. Avila with some really good ABs tonight. Me too. I celebrated to early...ya I was that guy
  12. QUOTE (chw42 @ May 13, 2016 -> 06:23 PM) Oh no, not again. Plesac's been really good to have on the broadcast though. I was looking forward to Dan.
  13. QUOTE (Joshua Strong @ May 13, 2016 -> 06:21 PM) TJ is not the death sentence that it used to be, it might have added some life to his arm. I know that. I haven't payed attention to older players who get it and how they bounce back. I'll have to look that up.
  14. I didn't panic at all with Timmy. I knew he'd struggle. I hoped he struggle early to take that as a learning experience. He'll be fine and I look forward to his progression. I also like Fulmer struggling. Learn from it. He's not ready. Deal with struggles at AA. We're seeing Rodon fast track and is now struggling.
  15. QUOTE (Joshua Strong @ May 13, 2016 -> 06:18 PM) 30 So he'll be 31 next season. It's ok as a flyer but I just don't know how much he has left. KC got their money's worth and now he's a 30 year old closer coming off TJ.
  16. QUOTE (chw42 @ May 13, 2016 -> 06:16 PM) We're 3rd in runs scored in the AL now. Pretty crazy. For about 2 weeks straight I said they'd snap out of it. Took awhile but they have.
  17. QUOTE (Joshua Strong @ May 13, 2016 -> 06:15 PM) After the draft because I think he has a QO attached to him, I would like the Sox to sign Greg Holland. I know that he is out for the entirety of this season but he would be a huge addition to the Sox pen next year. I wouldn't hate that. I don't know what he has left though. What's his age?
  18. Got my other wisdom teeth out today. Feeling good already this makes it even better. Shellacking the Stankees
