He is a FA after next year and I was speaking all things considered. Obviously if I could have one FA SP I'd take Scherzer but I wouldn't want to give 200+ mil.
Flowers!
Ok well I'd go Shields too. I love him and he's a RHP. Scherzer is too much money. Shields is gona command a bunch

Ball was hit hard... 2 feet to the right of the 3B and its two men on, no outs.

Carlos Gonzalez - OF - Rockies
Carlos Gonzalez is not in the Rockies' starting lineup on Tuesday night against the White Sox.
It's just a routine day of rest for Colorado's star outfielder. Brandon Barnes will start in left.

They compared hawkins to kemp on draft day.
These are extremely loose projections that you can't base a decision on
Ya. That's why I'd always take pitching. Not that always works

Will Gillaspie sit vs the LHP today?
I'll say the lineup is: Eaton, Semien, Abreu, Viciedo, Garcia, Konerko, Flowers, Garcia, Johnson
Abreu and Konerko?

You're telling me you honestly want to start Chris Beck when he's not close to being ready?
Then what happens when you completely destroy his confidence...it would be one thing if he was striking out 9-12 batters per game, but he's usually at 3-6.
Or that you would rather see Axelrod/Doyle, etc.?
As it is, we're already dealing with one youngster's growing pains in Johnson. He has only made six major league starts. Pretty soon, some will be calling for him to be sent down for more seasoning.
I'd rather see Rienzo. Not beck. Let beck develop more.
