Starting to get a weird feeling SD defies all odds & lands Machado. Total gut feeling but seems like things are trending the right way for them right now.

Always funny when people trash people like Dave/Brian & then when they break something, those same people kiss their ass. Or better yet, when they feel they need some info, they are consistently asking them for it.

Seems funny to me that you question guys like Dave & Brian but are quick to five MLB Trade Rumors out of all the “insiders”, some sort of credit.

IIRC, Machado has been pretty open about not liking the West Coast because it’s too far away from his family & friends in the DR. I don’t doubt the Padres are interested but at least for me, this doesn’t concern me. This may actually help get the price up where a deal can actually be closed sooner rather than later.

MLB Trade Rumors is saying they aren't a match. What I'm saying is that they don't really have any inside info. Rosenthal has indeed reported that they have had talks, maybe nothing is close but there's plenty to support that they are a potential match. That's the entire point, which flies in the face of what MLBTR is saying.

Trusted information from board insiders & even Ken Rosenthal says otherwise. Sox are in discussions with LAD for Joc. Have been for about a week now.

The guys at MLBTR know nothing anyways. They report rumors, that's it.

Like I said last night, Jason is Peggy’s kid. He may be young but Peggy has been in the business for a long time, so I’d think he’s made a few connections over the years.

The original rumor came from Peggy Kusinski’s kid, FWIW. I’d venture to say this has some legs.

Yeah... Anyone comparing Dave to Dan Clark hasn’t been paying attention. Dude has great info (I know that first hand because he is a good friend). I get not liking him but let’s not pretend like he doesn’t put out good info regularly.

He’s also liked multiple tweets of mine saying the Sox are the favorites &/or the Sox are the team Machado’s dad was referring to. I wouldnt put too much thought into it. He really likes the Sox chances & I know that first hand.

This one is almost over boys. 1. Mystery teams are not real. 2. Mystery teams show up at the end of negotiations. 3. Mystery teams never end up with the players they are “bidding on”.
