  1. So the Sox dropped four places after both 94 and 97. Even though 94 was strike shortened, they were only 2 spots lower than they were in 93..... the year they won the Division. Given that, in all probability, they would have hung on to win the Division in 94, the numbers would have probably been BETTER than 93 because 94 was the best shot the White Sox had at winning the WS in my lifetime. Thanks for proving me right HSC
  2. If he has so much confidence he should have the common sense to go with it that he has sucked for a few seasons now. Take the cut in pay, show JR, KW, and the fans that you're worth what you're asking for, or shut the f*** up and take your pay cut. And any comparison of Butter to Randy Johnson stops at the only thing they have in common and that is they are both pitchers.
  3. not jumping you here ok.... but why do you think we lost so many of the regular fan base in the 94 flag deals??? because they boycotted jr and his decisions... and not many of those have ever returned back to the park.... if you go over the attendance from the last 10 years you will see a dramatic decrease from 94 on.....and then it gets spotty there after.....i will be willing to bet that there is alot more who drop from the regular fan base this season upcoming.....there are alot of unhappy fans who feel that things are being run into the ground......and then there are the rest of us who are gluton for punishment.........lol My dad raised me a Sox fan and hasn't been back to Comiskey since the White Flag Trade. What was the percentage drop off when you take 94 and combine it with 97? And both years, in one way or another, had to do with JR being a CHEAP PRICK! And for the person who wondered why I still cheer for the Sox even though I wouldn't piss on JR if he was on fire? It has to do with loyalty to a team. It has nothing to do with their CHEAP PRICK OWNER.
  4. f*** NOTRE DAME!!!!! GO YOU f***ING SEMINOLES!!!!! I feel better now :puke Notre Dame
  5. My mom always taught it to me this way... You SPRING ahead and FALL back. I could use the extra hour of sleep with all of this stuff that I've been up to this semester. Get your sleep now Heather..... cause when we go out on our date, you're not gonna be able to sleep
  6. Where did Jim Parque get the idea that he was the second coming of Cy Young anyway? One of the few moves KW has made that I am in complete agreement with.
  7. She's that way because of the assortment of prescription (and I'm sure a few illegal) drugs she's on. Not to mention, WTF happened to the PMOY Anna Nicole Smith? Did this Anna on E! eat her or what?
  8. I BET YOU HALF OF THAT CASH GOES TO OUR VERY OWN MIKE SOUTH FOR ALL THE SEXUAL FAVORS HE HAS BEEN GIVING LATELY.:metal :eek :puke WTF? LOL
  9. He's always been an average to below-average G IMHO
  10. How about, "THE GIANTS WIN THE PENNANT, THE GIANTS WIN THE PENNANT!" That didn't even make the list I don't think. Or Mr October. Or ShamME losing $20,000.....
  11. I'm in agreement with some of the posters here. Sure, Cal Ripken breaking Gehrig's consecutive games played streak was a feat of historic accomplishment. But was it the best baseball moment? The best baseball moment should be something that is ingrained in your mind, i.e. Bill Buckner, Carlton Fisk, etc.
  12. By saying making him a DH or trading him, in my last post, I meant C Lee NOT Borchard
  13. I didn't mean everybody Chisoxfn. Sorry if it sounded that way. And I agree with you on the Borchard part. He is the future. He's just not ready yet. But when he is, moves will have to be made. Whether that's making him a DH or trading him is yet to be determined. But as of right now the White Sox need C Lee. I don't see KW making any trades or Borchard making one year of progress in 2 months of ST so C Lee it's going to have to be. Christ, it's not like he's a clubhouse cancer (ala K-layton) or something.
  14. Who said North is good at what he does? LOL
  15. Personally, I think people should layoff C Lee's defense. Yeah, 2001 was ugly. But can anyone around here (besides soxfan420) give credit where credit is due? C Lee showed exceptional improvement in 2002. Let's stop bringing up the defense aspect of C Lee..... it wasn't a problem this last season. And anyone that thinks that Borchard will be ready by Opening Day is deluding themselves. Right now this team needs C Lee. Unfortunately, the consensus seems to be that Rowand is bench material at best. Anyone that thinks Liefer is better than Lee defensively, IMHO, would be unpleasantly suprised at seasons end. Outside of trade, whether you like it or not, the White Sox need C Lee.

    Tommy Maddux

    That's easy Murcielago..... John Elway
  17. If Thomas goes, look for C Lee to take over the DH role. A possible OF scenario then would be Rowand (LF), Borchard (CF), Maggs (RF). This rushes Borchards progress though. Opening Day would more likely be Liefer (LF), Rowand (CF), Maggs (RF). Thomas leaving or staying will answer a whole lot of questions and possibilities.
  18. Keep dreaming. And what is this "We" white boy?
  19. Still wanna tell us the ganja ain't effecting you one bit?
  20. Great minds think alike I'm pretty confident that Honel will turn heads the same way Buehrle did as long as they don't rush his development. And let's not forget South's ability to judge talent No one happier than me that I'm convinced
  21. This city has 2 baseball teams Murcielago. Where's ShamME at?
  22. Great minds think alike I'm pretty confident that Honel will turn heads the same way Buehrle did as long as they don't rush his development. And let's not forget South's ability to judge talent. He was jocking Crede earlier than anyone I know
