  1. f*** Notre Dame!!!! YES!!!!! FINALLY, A VOICE OF REASON AROUND HERE!!!!! I DON'T GIVE A FLYING f*** ABOUT NOTRE DAME!!!!! THEY'LL MAKE IT TO A BOWL GAME (like they always seem to do regardless of record or opponents defeated) JUST TO GET THEIR COLLECTIVE ASSES HANDED TO THEM BY THEIR BOWL OPPONENT. :****
  2. Oh yeah..... Thibault SUCKS! He ain't a rookie anymore. If he was going to "turn a corner" it should have been a season to a season-and-a-half ago. How much time are Hawks fans gonna give this goof to "turn the corner?" We had one of the best in Belfour years back before ASSHOLE refused to pay him what he was worth. And Hasek was Belfours back-up!
  3. IGOR KOROLEV IS THE MOST WORTHLESS SON OF A b**** TO DISGRACE THE INDIANHEAD SWEATER! HE IS WORSE THAN VALERI ZELEPUKEIN COULD EVER HOPE TO BE. As far as players go, I may have to agree with you NUKE. But as the whole Organization goes, Dollar Bill has done more to disgrace the best uniform in all of sports than any player could possibly dream. I HATE that f***ER! :****
  4. I've said Chandler all along. Only problem with him though is he's one good blow to head away from being Muhammed Ali.
  5. Outside of a 1 or 2 game series agreed to by the competing Organizations, isn't this scenario a violation of the MLBPA contract? I defer to the "stat-heads" on this one cause
  6. :eek Didn't hear about it until now
  7. I thought it was Schindler's Fist? How about Saving Ryan's Privates? Close Encounters of the Anal Kind? E.T...... the Extra Testicle?
  8. Lions are favored ny 3 last I checked. How's that for respect?:****
  9. People forget too that Chandler led the Falcons to a Super Bowl berth a few years back. Problem with Chandler is, as with Miller, that he is injury prone..... especially concussions.
  10. The renovations so far can be simply described this way..... what once was white , is now black. Yes Sox fans, the underside of the upperdeck roof (as I reported a few weeks ago) is black. Now, the "steel-lattice" in LF and RF supporting the advertisements and mini-scoreboards is in the process of being painted all black. The light poles for the night games are also being painted black. The cement support columns holding the concrete upper deck in place have been painted a dark gray, a departure from the "Comiskey-Tan" that they once were. I really don't know if I like what I have seen so far. Moronotti will be decrying it for sure. "The ballmall was dark enough before JR decided to paint it 'death-pall' black....." Moronotti will say. It looks completely different for sure. On a lighter note, I wonder if Albert Belle has gone from baseball player to interior decorator for JR
  11. I see where you are coming from here Murcielago. Truly, I do. You will not find a bigger defender of C Lee than me. After all, he is one of the all-time CubKilla's. But, the only comparison you could draw between C Lee and Thomas is their incredibly shaky defense. Thomas is the BEST HITTER this city has seen. Period. So goofs like Moronotti don't like him. So what! The same goofs that call Frank a has-been also think some of ShamME's best years are ahead of him. I have a feeling that if Frank goes somewhere else for 2003, we will be sorry. As Sox fans and as the Organization goes (I know they don't give a flying f***..... but), we owe it to Frank to show us he still is the "Big Hurt." I'd give him one more year or until the 2nd-half trading deadline if the 2003 White Sox turn out to be the 2001/2002 White Sox.
  12. f*** that tubby bastard...... I f***ing hate those commercials. The most sense I've heard all day. I hope that "tubby bastard" chokes on one of those sandwiches while banging his used-to-be-fat wife too. And as for Wright? I think it's time JR signs a starter with more innings pitched than months on the DL. :metal
  13. All ace material has a bad outing here and there. That's not a very good example, IMHO. Remember, it was Danny Wright who probably had more 3 2/3, 4 2/3 pitching performances this season than Clemens. Clemens is a veteran horse who could show a Danny Wright a thing or two. But, if Clemens has any aspirations of winning a WS soon, before he retires, he won't come to either of Chicago's teams.
  14. With PayRod, Guerrero, Jones, and Mulder, Buehrle's in good company. Question is, will Mark be here long enough to possibly hoist a long overdue WS banner at Comiskey Park?
  15. They smoked tobacco and drank alcohol too. So what's your point? Back in the late 1700's, get this, tobacco was thought to be GOOD for you. Now we know otherwise. Plus..... big point of contention here..... smoking hemp wasn't illegal. If you're ever so unfortunate enough to get busted for pot by the police, tell me later on in life, when you try to get a good, high-paying job where they do a background check and find out you have been ARRESTED for illicit drugs (Remember, they could care less if you were CONVICTED of possession), if getting high 24/7 was worth it. Tell your prospective employer too that the Founding Fathers smoked "ganja" and see if that changes his/her mind.
  16. Definitely. The worst thing that could have happened to the Bears was the 13-3 abhorition that was 2001. This team should have pursued Drew Bledsoe in the offseason but figured they went 13-3 with Miller..... they don't need a Bledsoe type quarterback. Miller is a back-up at best.
  17. You should ask baseball fans here in Pgh (what few of them are left) what they think of Bonds. About 5 or six years ago Bonds made the cover of SI. The cover photo had him standing on second base with his hands on his hips and that smug sneer on his face. The caption read "I'm Barry Bonds and you're not." That about sums it up, he's the most selfish self absorbed athlete I've ever seen. Oh, all right that flub in rf gives him a run for his money. Ask Jim Leyland what he REALLY thinks of Bonds. Not his nicey nice comments for the press. Bonds made his life hell when he was a Pirate. Remember that great throw Barry made to nail Bream in 92 sending the Pirates to the WS for the first time in 13 years? Oops, I'm hallucinating again. Or when he didn't move a muscle in LF during a game at Candlestick when he thought a ball hit over his head was a HR..... and it hit off the wall? Sorry, I do not remember who was pitching or who hit the ball. I just know it happened. Or when he went to catch a ball "Willie Mays Style" and the ball fell out of his hotdogging glove? He's an asshole. I don't care what his career numbers are. I hope he NEVER gets a ring. :****
  18. You been drinking my Killa-Koolaid HSC? That sounds alot like on of my posts :metal
  19. First a rise in ticket prices, now this. JR is really f***ing pushing it. I wonder when this asshole (JR) is going to realize that he is the f***ing cancer around here. This announcement comes as no surprise to Sox fans though. Just further lines JR's pockets for 2003.
  20. Personally, I'd like to see Bonds go 0-for and his Giants go 4-and-out. The only thing Bond's doesn't have (besides class) is a ring. If the Giants win the WS this year, this classless jagoff will have WS Winner tacked onto his plaque in Cooperstown. I'd love nothing better than, 50 years from now, to hear sports writers speak of Bonds in Ruthian-terms but always be able to finish their comments with..... "he never won a WS." Just curious what other SoxNet posters think. Am I in the minority?
  21. Sorry man. But after reading this response, the voices of thespians Bill S Preston Esquire and Ted "Theodore" Logan say it best..... "f**." :metal And Gash, if this chick is as hot as you say she is, bang her, THEN move with your girlfriend of 2 years to Alaska so this chick can't track you down afterwards
