QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Jun 25, 2016 -> 05:17 PM) If anything Kluber has been disappointing. Salazar, Carrasco (when healthy), Tomlin and Bauer have all outperformed expectations, but maybe not their own expectations in CLE. I guess it's fair to say Tomlin's record, but we could say the same for Mat Latos. And this is without Brantley, Gomes not being 100%, Almonte/Byrd suspended for PED's and some pretty big holes in their bullpen (including Shaw's struggles in set-up). Doesn't hurt that they have 5 Top 100 MILB prospects, to boot. This ♤ -

QUOTE (greg775 @ Jun 25, 2016 -> 05:15 PM) How did the Sox get him? I think it was in the Shark trade with Oakland? -

QUOTE (elrockinMT @ Jun 25, 2016 -> 05:12 PM) Looked like a hard hit liner to the wall It was, he just doesn't look right out there to me. He also trapped himself too close to the wall on the bounce. -

QUOTE (greg775 @ Jun 25, 2016 -> 05:11 PM) Boy this pitcher has nothing. Hope he's not a big time prospect. His slider might be on par with the best in the game. That last one to K Pillar was stellar -

QUOTE (fathom @ Jun 25, 2016 -> 05:06 PM) This team desperately needs like 4 more players if they want to contend. If scores hold true, they will be 7 back of Cleveland Unless cleveland comes back down to reality, no one in the central will catch them. Sox best hope is the wildcard I think. Obviously if cleveland starts to play like everyone thought they would then the sox could make a run at them. -

QUOTE (greg775 @ Jun 25, 2016 -> 05:03 PM) Put Lawrie or Anderson in the outfield then and let Saladino hit. Or everyday DH. Can't DH cause they would have no backup infielder -

QUOTE (greg775 @ Jun 25, 2016 -> 05:01 PM) Can you explain why Saladino doesn't play over a .180 hitter like Shuck? Cause he can't play the outfield and more importantly CF -

QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Jun 25, 2016 -> 04:55 PM) Wasn't there a game a few weeks ago where they set the record for biggest number of solo HR in a single game? I thought I read something like that but can't remember what it was. -

QUOTE (greg775 @ Jun 25, 2016 -> 04:49 PM) Saladino is one of our best hitters and never plays. Ridiculous waste. Anderson, Eaton, Abreu, Melky, Frazier, Lawrie and right now Avila are all way better than Saladino -

QUOTE (harkness @ Jun 25, 2016 -> 02:56 PM) You'll have to explain more. With our lineup Anderson is the only speed threat he has been killing the ball since he came up. The only hitters better than him has been Melky and possibly Eaton. Eaton is not a leadoff hitter and he admits it, he is a great 2 hole hitter. Our lineup and offense has been wayyyyy better with Anderson at the one. He also has scored a ton. Right now he is swinging at strikes early in the count and ripping the ball all over the field. That's what you need from a rookie leadoff guy. Once he makes that adjustment to big league pitching then he will be more patient at the plate. Our offense needs a spark at the top and it's not Eaton, it's Anderson. Just bc he is not walking doesn't mean he is not a leadoff hitter. Would you rather the sox go back to scoring 1 run a game like they did before Anderson was in the leadoff spot.
