I understand this. The Padres offer would have been 300. So for us to up our offer to 250, would mean we were at 225 or so. So he either tricked us, or our offer was 250 and the Pads trumped it. The Pads knew because of taxes they needed 300 to beat our offer.

I just don't think SD offered 300 and then after that, we upped our offer to 250 from let's say 220.

They increased their offer with that last second hail mary incentive. I doubt SD offered 80 million more than us prior to our final offer.

Everyone loves and appreciates family. However, we need something else to take our lives off of real life/ Also, the Sox beg for our money. I get emails everyday asking me to spend money on tickets, merchandise, and memorabilia. When our money is involved, emotions get involved. Otherwise, they can make the Sox experience free of charge. Edit: this is not an attack on you or disagreement, just an explanation for those who feel bad about being angry. The Sox deserve it.

This board serves as a place to vent and talk to others like us, and pass time. I'm not spending money on the Sox or watching their product being here.

We waited 3 years for this moment. This WAS the big moment to prove to fans they were serious. They blew it by being the same old incompetent Sox.

That's fair. That is a great outlook. However, they read these boards and twitter to get a gauge of fans feelings. Our anger is the reason they keep trying to spin with tweets, and why Hahn keeps doing a damage control tour. It's not pity at this point, it's letting our voices be heard until they do something about it. Cubs Bulls fans are even joining in on this as they are one in the same.
