At what point do we start to believe?
So, here's my little story with this team. I live in SoCal and cancelled MLB.TV during the 121 loss season. I still followed team news, every box score, etc. I was asked constantly asked by friends when I'd cave and order it again. Well, I made it to this season and back in March. I said "I don't think we'll be THAT bad this year. However, I will order MLB.TV again when the White Sox are .500 or better in June". I made it to May. lol. I'm really enjoying this club. Put it this way. The gauntlet of a schedule that we face in June? With no Murakami as well? (I do like Gonzalez, FWIW) If we play .500 or better in June? We're probably going to be in this for the long haul. I don't know if we have the firepower yet to beat Cleveland for the division. Given the outlook of the AL right now, though? We can certainly hunt down a wild card spot if we win 85-86 games. I would think. That would be a big victory for this team. Playoff baseball!? Don't get my hopes up, but I get excited thinking about it.

Sox @ Twins 5/24 Gamethread
He has 2 extra base hits all month. Two homers... then all singles. That's why his average has stayed where it is and why it seems like he's been so quiet.

If we had another starting pitcher, I would consider hopping on this train. Not impossible... but I still don't quite see it. We would have to go on a big run at some point. Maybe we can... who knows

Hope this is sarcastic. He was a circus act in left in that game.

Can we get a Shields rumor?
There's always veteran guys with ERA's around league average that get moved. Especially those with a name like Shields carries. I realize he's fallen from his TB/KC days, but that whole name/experience thing does seem to get nibbles on pitchers past their prime. I mean, we moved Miguel Gonzalez last season. The Cubs traded for Hamels and his 4.72 ERA. Liriano was rather pitiful last season as a starter - Houston got him and stuck him in the bullpen... etc... I mean, he's going to pitch 200 innings with respectable numbers. That has value on it's own. There's contenders who can use that at the back end, IMO. Teams have dealt for worse.

I'll be disappointed if he finishes the season here... come on

Delmonico or Palka?
Just has to be taken with a grain of salt since he's 26. However, doing this without all of the experience - it does make you think that perhaps he could hone his approach more. Improve in the obvious areas where he struggles.

Delmonico or Palka?
Give me the guy with 35 HR upside. Mostly because he's just this years sexy surprise player. As opposed to Delmonico who was last year's... and I'm gullible like that.
