Jeff Bajenaru will be honored at the University of Oklahoma's Diamond Dinner benefitting OU Baseball. He will be speaking and will have an autograph session along with question and answer period. This afternoon it was announced that Jeff Bajenaru, closer for the Charlotte Knights is the team's only selection to the all star game to be held later this month in Sacramento. Congratulations, baj! Way to go- glad Spanish was not a prerequisite for this game.

I know that Bajenaru hasn't mastered spanish yet but maybe he should be given a shot anway?

Bajenaru's era .94 28.2 IP 15 walks 33 stirkouts and only 14 hits allowed. What else does he need to do to be given a shot ?

Putting up these numbers while playing on a team that sucks is even more amazing. Maybe he will be traded soon so he can get a chance to prove he can play in the bigs.

Maybe Ozzy just needed another guy who speaks spanish in the club house. Lopez was over his head in AAA, and the only thing thing he brings to the bigs is AA fielding, no bat and great conversation.

My vote is for Bajenaru.

He is going to birmingham, saw him pitch in tucson looks great, but can"t speak spanish, so there you go.

Maybe Bajenaru needs to pick up spanish as a second language to have a chance with this bunch. He will be called up by May 1 2005.
