Except he is at total cross purposes with the 2017 team at this point...helping to elevate the win total, taking at-bats from a Saladino or Coats or Garcia (well, that's a bit of a stretch) and very unlikely to be traded for a future asset this month because his pittance of a salary makes a waiver block highly probable.

 

Too bad it's not Avila doing this, because he is under control for 2017...but it's just the way this season has gone.

There were a ton of naysayers on the board when I first brought up Morneau as an option. Glad he is fulfilling my expectations and doing better than others thought he was capable.

I would bring Morneau back at DH if he will come back, rebuilding or not.

 

Seeing a stud leftie hitter in our lineup at the DH spot is refreshing. This is what we hoped for 6 years ago when Dunn was brought in.
