All coaches but KIMM stay

Featured Replies

What manager wants to come here with all of JM coaches except Kimm, Larussa would never come without D.Duncan as his pitching coach. KW says R.Santana stays because of his GREAT work with J.Valentin.........WHAT ..... KW needs to understand when a manager is FIRED most if not ALL of his staff gets s*** canned also. ONLY coach I can understand is J.Nossek because of tenure, but Cooper, Walker etc. Please next Sox manager, A NOBODY this is already depressing :fyou KW he is on the clock now, and has hamstung new man with JM leftovers. KW cannot even fire a manager correctly.

Tell me you are not serious???? You think Coop and Walker should be fired?? UH, I'm sorry to relate this little 'tidbit' of info to you, but Cooper has been the best thing to happen to White Sox pitchers in quite some time. Also, Crede, Rowand, and the rest of the guys that came through the system are products of Walk's system. Kimm, while not a great 3B coach, at least he wasn't Wavin Wally.

Walker and Coop did good. If another Manager wants to brings his coaches I bet those guys gets re-assigned to another place in the ORG

Managers and staff are gone 95% of the time sunshine in a firing.

No veteran manager is going to take a job and only be able to name one coach.

There's no doubt in my mind this is a clue that the new guy is going to be somebody who has never managed in the big leagues -- Guillen, Randolph, Backman.

Somebody who will simply be elated to have the job.

Just can't see a guy with much presence swallowing KW's pitching and hitting coaches.

EXACTLY :fyou KW

For those in Doubt... I read this on another board Bruce Levine reported it

Some clarification on the coaches, courtesy of Bruce Levine:

A new manager will be able to name his own coaches. If that happens, the current guy will get another job within the organization. The new manager will surely be encouraged to retain as many of the guys as possible.

Bruce Kimm was canned, the other guys have a job somewhere in the organization at the very least.

That answer any questions, See the same thing i said. Kimm was Canned cause he was hired by Manuel

I had the same thought. It's someone close to the organization who possibly has already agreed to the coaching staff.

I disagree with the just elated to have a job comment.

That's good news because otherwise some quality managerial candidates were going to thumb their noses at the job.

Even Jerry got to bring us Wavin' Wally and in time Nardi Contreras

Cooper and Walker have done some work this season. I would prefer to build on that than have to start all over again with new hitting/pitching coaches.

Sounds like the sox are promoting from within.
