January 18, 20188 yr QUOTE (ChiSoxJon @ Jan 17, 2018 -> 08:59 PM) Can't rule it out Puig was in a similar situation a flew through the minors Just for reference.... Puig was signed at age 21 and went straight to Rookie ball for 9 games, hit .400 with 4 HR, and then went to A+ for the last 14 games, hitting .327 with almost as many BB as K. Then at age 22 he started in AA for 40 games hitting .313 before he was called straight up to the pros. Robert will be 20 for most of this season. So to follow Yasiel's path, he could spend all of 2018 in Low-A Kanny, then play all of 2019 in High-A Winston Salem at age 21. Then start 2020 in AA and hope to make the majors by the summer. Basically Robert is a year younger than Puig at this point. He may need more than 40 minor league games this year before getting called up.
