I know it’s a little late but standing a little closer to the ball will force a slightly more upright swing and higher elevation. But here in Texas we want your ball flight with our wind and dry fairways.

I figured it out by tinkering on my own. I realized I needed to shorten my backswing a bit in order to get the ball in the air because I was taking it so far back that i was bobbing my head. Once I did that, getting it in the air was easy. I was messing with my swing plane.

The great thing today is how easy it is to keep a video record and go back to compare. I use V1 Golf and created libraries for most of my players.

Time to crank up high school golf. I have a freshman that averaged in the mid 70s for 17 tournament rounds over the summer including a closing round four under 67 to win his age group.

It's going to be a good year.

I am looking for a new set of clubs, I am a very novice player wanting to get into golf a little more. I am looking for a set probably under $500, any suggestions on good quality set or brand I should be looking for?
