I always take postseason experience. In addition to that Maddux is familiar with the beer garden.

It is a toss up. Prior has icewater in his veins... But I will say this much, whoever scores first wins.

The Braves can hit this guy. I have a friend who is a die hard Braves fan, and he says the Braves can get around on Prior, but he also says that Sheff has been trying too hard, and is popping the ball up a lot. Sheffs swing is fast enough that if he gets in a groove, its bye bye cubbies pitching.

Prior may have ice water in him, but he will also be having ice water in the air and the fact that it is post-season. With the weather and the lack of experience, I think Maddux has the advantage. I don't think the noise of Wrigley will effect OR intimidate Maddux at all.

He is exactly right on Sheff. He is in a Frank Thomas mode, all fences or nothing.

As much as I hate to say it, Maddux has been inconsistent this year and isn't really that great of a postseason pitcher (11-13 lifetime). He's got the capability of being bombed.

You can argue that Prior has no postseason experience and is in uncharted territory in innings pitched, but you can't argue that he is one of the most if the most talented pitchers in the game today.

Edge goes to Cubs IMO.

Here's to hoping my prediction jinxes them.

Yeah, but that record comes with a 3.23 ERA which is only as high as it is because of the 1989 and 2000 playoffs.

Prior is much better, Cubs have the edge. That said it's anybodys game and I hope they get smoked.

Sheffield did hit .330 though....Thomas didn't even hit .270.

But I have noticed quite a few pop-ups by Sheff. The dumbf***er.

The Cubs are gonna win this one. Prior will pitch no less than 7.2 innings, 115 pitches, and either Farnsworth or Borwoski will get some pitches in if Prior can't go the complete distance.

Atlanta's toast.

Cubs are clear favorites. Prior is just unf***ing believable. Should be a great game.

Cubs...in Wrigley with Prior on the mound. I like their chances.

Unfortunatly Maddux is no longer the best pitcher in baseball. I gotta go with the Cubs in this one. And remember, we hope they win today because it will make the eventual loss that much worse :fthecubs
