I remember this guy in the Futures Game (I believe a couple years ago). He's a big boy. 

EDIT: was right about the "couple years ago" as it was in '15, but didn't realize/remember he was on the '17 team too with Eloy and Moncada.

Maybe I am wrong, but maybe the reason he is being constantly released by clubs is because they find something out about him shortly after he is acquired? Or is there some kind of financial obligation or roster fill requirement that teams need to satisfy for a short period of time, or something like that?

It very well could be something like the changes teams want him to make are obvious, but he won't... combined with roster crunches.

The reason guys like him bounce around a lot is because teams think they can sneak him through waivers without getting claimed and the player ends up getting claimed.
