Sox are going to keep him in AA as long as they possibly can aren't they? I would imagine Hahn wants a reasonable argument to keep him in AAA to start 2020. Playing only month in AAA in 2019 may be that argument.

That said, this past offseason, with all the extensions and teams like SD calling up Tatis/Paddock to start the year is an interesting precedent. It'll be interesting.

Getting Robert on an extension would be pretty nice. Not sure he does it give his signing bonus. If he truly earns a call up this year, getting him acclimated and ready for next season would be great. He has so few minor league at bats though. Probably a pipe dream.
