If they did move, what would become of US Cellular Field?

Ladies and Gentlemen, Please give a warm U.S. Cellular welcome to your 2007 Chicago Expos!!!!!!

Noooooooooooo! Not another National League team in Chicago. :nono

The Sox have a long term lease in Chicago. They would get the s*** sued out of them if they ever moved.

And that is why White Sox baseball will stay here for years to come. Thank you very much. Case closed. :D

Ladies and Gentlemen, let's hear it for YOUR CHICAGO FIRE!!!!

...and crickets the rest of the time, save for the occasional rock concert...

That is the conventional wisdom. Court proceedings would be a near certainty if they tried to move. I'm not saying it will happen, but I refuse to believe that it can't happen or is highly unlikely. I could very well see it happening by the end of the decade. Let's see if JR slashes payroll drastically like some say, or just holds steady like others say. Let's see what kind of the team the Sox field in 2004. Are the Cubs going to be one year wonders or are they going to have a long run? What about when the current CBA ends (in 2006?). There could be a lot of moves and/or contractions in the game by then. Look at how the Pirates imploded? All Cub fans in Chicago should bow down and face the east. Without the bumbling Bucs they might not even be in the playoffs let alone be on the verge of their first WS appearance since 1945. Sorry, all is not well in the game of baseball today. Not just on the south side of Chicago. There could be some painful and unexpected happenings in the next few years.

You want to see painful, look into the NHL. Bankrupt teams, huge disparity, all kinds of problems. And baseball is right on that path.

They've realigned before...Make the Expos an American League team, and shift Texas, or Toronto, Tampa, or the then-moved White Sox, for that matter. It's not likely, but it could happen in an extreme case scenario. The Brewers and the Diamonbacks have been in both leagues already.

Or the return of Ribbie and Roobarb!!!

:o nnnnNNNNNOOOOOOOOOOOoooooooo........

:P heh heh hehhhhh.....I was wondering when you weree going to respond.... :D

Sorry, man, but I HATED Ribbie and Roobarb.

I hate mascots - it all looks so minor-league to me.

Although looking at them, it DOES appear that they were meant to be cartoon versions of Einhorn and Reinsdorf, doesn't it???

I thought they were Hawk and Drysdale?
