FS: What the White Sox are losing in Steele Walker

Featured Replies

The Sox traded a 23-year-old prospect who plays a position of depth within the organization.

I wrote about the move HERE.

I guess it makes me feel better we're drafting garbage at #46.

A good kid at the minimum

Briefly spoke with him while he was with KAN, great guy and good athlete...wish him the best

I must say, you have made me feel a little better looking at the splits. Still, Walker provides better average and k to bb. He still may learn to hit LHP. Good write up. Now lets go sign Castellanos!

I guess the Sox should have instead drafted players such as these:

Tom Eshelman

Nick Burdi

Cody Reed

Eddie Butler

Joe Musgrove

Mazara was hitting 20 HR in MLB at the same age Walker was doing freshman orientation in college

And has been doing so for 4 years straight. Problem is, Mazara is maxed out. And with over 100 k's and 30 bb per season he is maxed below average.

Cool?  The same could be said about Casey Mize?  Why does this matter?

By avoiding Chicago Steele has a shot at a quality MLB career. Mazcara gets a change of scenery which could help.

I was thinking too sometimes a change of scenery can help. He may rake at the Rate.
