October 17, 200322 yr The Marlins one is the best one. Although you could have put Cubs fans in that pic and it would have been the same... No, the Cubs will draw over 2,000,000 no matter how s***ty the product. Next year they'lll draw 3.2 or 3.3 million. They'll have a big forgiveness day and invite Steve Bartman to throw out the first pitch while riding a billy goat and the dumb f***s at Wrigley will applaud and buy t-shirts.
October 18, 200322 yr In the last week or two, whenever I hear a person says they are pulling for the Cubs, I just ask "Why?" Then they give some stupid answer, and it's obvious they don't know s*** about the game, and before too long they will admit it. Then I point out thay they have been manipulated by the media to feel this way, and they try to fight back, but can't because they are too stupid. Sadly, this scenario plays out all over the country. I wish the media would just shut up and report the news instead of trying to shape the minds of the citizenry. Today's media is more effective at that than their counterparts in World War ll.
October 18, 200322 yr There may be only 15,000 at many Sox games on any given day, but I can sit and talk baseball with any of them - and they know what the hell they are talking about. My last miserable encounter in the Gum Bowl was 1994 - I came back from taking a leak and asked the dork next to me what the score was. He didn't know until he looked at the scoreboard. He was too interested in looking at all the women in bikinis (can't blame him for that), and hitting on the girl behind us. Like I've said before: Wrigley Field = The World's Largest Singles Bar
October 18, 200322 yr I don't blame Marlins fans for not showing up. How could you trust an organization after what they did following the 97 series.
October 18, 200322 yr I don't blame Marlins fans for not showing up. How could you trust an organization after what they did following the 97 series. If the White Sox Organization doesn't shape up, I'm going to go the way of a Marlins fan..... follow the team but not go to any games and spend my hard earned money until there is a product for me to spend my money on. At least have the Organization show the fans they care about winning by firing a lame duck manager in April when he should have been canned would be a good start.
October 18, 200322 yr You cannot compare the sox attendance to the marlins attendance. The Sox have to compete w/ the so-called "friendly confines" and the lovable losers, while the marlins have to compete with um........sweet lou's rays and OJ field.
