I had heard they released him. They had to get DeVannon playtime. I wouldn't mind the guy, but I wouldn't start him out of the gate, unless he has an awesome spring training.

i dont think the sox need him. he's another slow guy who hits pop ups

Well I mean he's definatly an upgrade over Brian Daubach, but would he be worth it?

Well I think he would be better than Daubach.

I see Fullmer a copy of PK, but hitting LH. But if i would have to choose, i choose Fullmer.

Only difference is Kong has had a great season. I would still take Fullmer because of salary reasons.

The year Fullmer had in 2000 was comparable if not better than Konerko's in 2002. Look at the numbers, he had over 30 HR and 100 RBI in 2000.

How good is Fullmer defensively at first base?

If we have both Konerko and Thomas still their is no point in having Fullmer on our team. If Thomas was gone though, it might not be a bad idea to have Fullmer play 1st base with Konerko DHing.

Fullmer seems like a pretty agressive in nature in person and may try to prove that Anaheim was wrong for dropping him. That could result in some good numbers.

2000 was a long time ago, I still like him because of money reasons though.
