Summer Plans

Featured Replies

Despite another cold front hitting I'm busy planning for summer.

Normally this would have been a Maine through Canada and back year but instead we decided on the UP.

Had planned to start visiting ballparks around the league with my son starting this season...when the Sox are the visiting team.  Had planned on driving to Toronto and visiting Niagara Falls when up there but not sure that'll work out this year.  Maybe I will keep the 1st road trip local to KC or Detroit.  I am also considering a longer trip down to Tampa...with a stop to check out some caves on the way.  I'll reconsider later when we have an actual schedule for the MLB season.

Cool idea.

Probably work trips to DC and NYC.  Besides that, maybe a Gettysburg trip.

I am actually planning a trip to Maine. Drive from Boston up through Portland and on to Bar Harbor/Acadia. Any recommendations?

So I'm considering taking my first trip without my parents this summer. Thinking about a tour of national parks in Utah-Wyoming.

Many. Thurston's Lobster Pound. Whale watching. Bike trails in Acadia. Skoodic Peninsula. Bay of Fundy. The LL Bean factory stores. Blueberry ice cream. Walking across to the island across from Bar Harbor. Driving Mt Desert Island's harbor towns. Thunder Hole. Sand Beach.

One of our lol memories is there is a gas station and camping store on the way to Acadia that has a really good lobster dinner. Basically aluminum foil over cardboard with everything dumped on it.

Yellowstone and Grand Teton are amazing. The colors of the pools in Yellowstone defy description. I love the hike to Grizzly Lake. Yellowstone crowds are all within a half mile of a road.
