Blurb about '04 Sox schedule

Thanks. I keep waiting to hear what our NL East interleague matchups are going to be. I'm hoping the Sox come down for a series with the Marlins, as that will make two Florida visits for 2004 and two most triumphant road trips to Pro Player and the Trop.

According to a Marlins fan site, the White Sox will be visiting PPS the weekend of June 15th.

Seems like alot of Scheduels are out, so if you REALLY want to see the Sox 2004 schedule, then I guess you could piece it together.

The Sox schedule maybe held up due to the renovations. That's one possibility. Sox, like the Bears this year, might opt to start the season with 7-9 games on the road to give the construction crews 2 more weeks to finish.

Just an idea.

Sweet. Yay for me.

From the article, it sounded like the holdup may have to do with trying to schedule Expos games at their home-away-from-home home stadium stadium in PR.

But the upside is that we can guarantee the Sox will be playing baseball in October next year -- at least until Oct 2...

The Sox always start the season on the road. That is a request by JR and it has been honored every year since he first made it.

Do you know what the reasoning is behing his request?

I think it's weather related. he figures the later we hit Chicago the better, even though in reality weather is a crap shoot until, oh, mid June.

I know where I live, I've usually been wearing shorts for a month or so before opening day. Y'all have been wearing parkas leading up to opening day.

:D

too bad they won't be playing in Philly. i'd love to check them out in the new stadium.

Is there a reason for starting against KC again? I remember stating against cleveland a couple years back.
