They spent $150 mill this year, and are totally obvlivious to the luxury tax.  If they are willing to spend more, then that is just not fair....seriously.  A salary cap HAS to be put into effect immediately.  It is complete and utter bulls*** that the Yankees can get away with this.

Yeah it is, but I cannot see a salary cap anytime soon. It isn't about the money though, it is the guys pay with the money.

Its definilty a bad situation for the Sox, because Wells and Clemens could possibly be done, for sure Clemens, and the Yanks as we all know dont have Pettie signed for next season so basically there rotation after the WS could be

 

Mussina

Wells

Contreas

Weaver

?

?

 

That doesnt look good for Sox fans.

The Yankees want to move Weaver I think, so basically only three of those guys will be in the rotation.

 

So yeah it doesn't look good for White Sox fans.

They'll definitely have Lieber, Contreras and Mussina in the rotation.

 

I'd say the other spots are up for grabs, depending on what else goes down.

 

I think Pettitte stays, but that's just me.

That's right, Lieber will be in the rotation next year.

 

I highly doubt that Weaver will be in their rotation, considering they're looking to move him.

 

So their rotation could look like this:

 

1.Mussina

2. Contreras

3. Lieber

 

Hopefully those other two holes will be filled by Millwood and somebody other than Colon.

Yeah, but who knows how effective Lieber will be. Is he fully rehabbed and ready from surgery? He might not be strong for a while. Should be a lot of money flying from the Yanks this winter as always.
