August 29, 20232 yr It’s hurricane season again down here in the Sunshine State, after being nailed pretty good last year by Ian we are keeping a close eye on this storm. Right now the cone projections have it hitting the Big Bend area north of Crystal River which would be good for us here in Punta Gorda but not good for areas north of Tampa. There is also a possibility that the storm once it reaches the Atlantic could do a loop and hit Florida again on the Atlantic coast, I remember Ivan doing just that in 2004.
