November 5, 200322 yr http://chicago.whitesox.mlb.com/NASApp/mlb...t3=1&statSet2=2 I think this is a total error, but the site has Frank listed as a pitcher on his defensive charts for 99'. Apparently, he didn't throw any pitches, but allowed two stolen bases. This is just an error, correct? edit: This link doesn't work, click on the one a few posts down.

November 5, 200322 yr Uh... that would be funny... but the link you gave doesn't really show anything... it takes me to the site but says There are no statistical data available for this Player
November 5, 200322 yr Author Uh... that would be funny... but the link you gave doesn't really show anything... it takes me to the site but says I'll try to fix that. Try this one. http://chicago.whitesox.mlb.com/NASApp/mlb...t3=1&statSet2=2 edit: This one works.
November 5, 200322 yr Author Still nothing, I wouldn't worry about it anyways. Ahhh, f*** it to hell. Anyways, I was just pointing out the fact and was wondering if I missed something.
November 5, 200322 yr I've seen it before too, so I know what BigHurt is talking about. I don't think he pitched though. The guy can't throw from 1B to 2B without throwing it away, how the hell is he gonna pitch? It'd be funny as hell to watch though

I cross checked it with BaseBall Reference and they don't have it. I think some of us would remember if Big Frank ever pitched, plus JM would have been out of here in 1999.
November 5, 200322 yr Author Thank you Spiff for posting that. Even if that is true, he did never PITCH. It doesn't have record of him delivering a single pitch. Scenario: We're losing 35-0, Big Frank takes the mound with man on first. He strides the rubber. He falls asleep! The runner makes it all the way to third before someone can rouse Frank. JM decides he doesn't want a pitcher who can't stay awake, regardless of the score, and Frank is removed before throwing one pitch.
November 5, 200322 yr Author I just noticed this, and has him down with 6 "AO's" does anyone know what an AO is?

I don't think anyone would forget someone like Frank pitching. Also, it would never be a superstar pitching. No risl of injuries. It would have been someone a little less important. It is just ugly to see fielders pitch. I remember Boggs and Grace pitching, some good stuff.
November 5, 200322 yr I don't think he pitched though. The guy can't throw from 1B to 2B without throwing it away, how the hell is he gonna pitch? Thirty feet makes SO much difference.
November 5, 200322 yr It is just ugly to see fielders pitch. I remember Boggs and Grace pitching, some good stuff. How about Jose Conseco. He hurt his arm and got his manager, Kevin Kennedy, fired!
November 5, 200322 yr Author I think we are getting too bored. Let's hope the Sox sign an ace. No s***! That's really what this is all about.

November 5, 200322 yr Harrelson has said more than once that Frank Thomas throws a hell of a knuckleball.
