He was pretty durable up to that point.

Additionally, the Sox in the 2000's were pretty well known for their durability under Herm.

Interesting, so far this season the Sox have actually been pretty healthy outside of the 3 guys that have a history of hurting themselves (and, ironically, are the guys the Sox rely the most on to be productive).
