It's sad I'm not on any Bro Rice alumni lists cause I only went there the first two years and am not technically an alumni.

I went to Fenwick.  The only reason I know anything about BR is because my son goes there and plays football.

Any St. Laurence grads in here. They won their first baseball state title today, beating Benet in the 3A finals in Joliet. I think it was 6-4. Brother Rice lost in the 4A semis on Friday. Is there a ton of baseball talent in the Mt. Greenwood, Oak Lawn area to fill both Br. Rice and St. Laurence's roster with baseball studs? Is baseball a huge sport on the south side now or has it always been that way.

By the way let me know when Rice announces its new basketball coach. Stamos left. I read a good article in which I think he said he was expected to do too much stuff besides just coach. He said he wasn't ready to retire so I wonder what high school will get him. He's a good coach.

Lincoln-Way East here. My grandfather went to St. Rita so I went to a lot of their football games. Saw Jarrett Payton play when Viator played Rita back in the day.

Should be a lot of fun to watch this fall.

Hey Harry and all the Rice grads:

Is Bro Rice projected to be good this year in football and/or basketball? Special? Or will we revert back to mediocrity? Any additions on the recruiting/transfer trail? Thanks for the info. I actually may be in Chicagoland this year on a weekend in October but don't think I'll be able to make a game.

Basketball may be down which is why the guy left.  Football who knows.

Thank you. Sounds like the coach is qualified. Nice resume. Worked at St. Xavier and all those other places. High school sports are so weird. Obviously we can't win if we don't recruit and recruiting high school kids has to be strange.  I met Bobby Frasor two winters ago at a KU basketball game. I was asking him all about Bro Rice. He had to think I was wacko being an adult so interested in my almie mater. Nice guy though.
