Is Sam Antonacci for real?

Featured Replies

Just thinking out loud about him. I'd really like to watch him hit on TV. So many guys who walk all the time don't have

enough physical tools to handle MLB fastballs and sliders. I'm rooting for him. My son went to the same Junior college

that Anton played at. Its about 5 miles from Illinois State U.  My kid was about 15 years ahead of SA. And yes, that does

make me an old goat.

Him, Caleb, and Braden are checking every single box needed thus far.

I love Antonacci. The hit tool is for real for real. He’s not a tiny guy so there is more power potential in there. His range is good not great, that’s why he hasn’t played much short. Arm is better than Meidroth, but not elite. He’s similar to Meidroth except he hits lefty and I think has a little more projection, but he can’t play short.

His ability to get on base is no joke. The Chairman of the Board (Antonacci) has real potential from what I've read.

Kudos to Getz for building middle of the infield depth in our minors.
