Tuesday at 05:40 AM5 days https://nypost.com/2026/08/17/sports/diamondbacks-ketel-marte-moved-to-restricted-list-after-no-showing-game/At least Vargas didn't go AWOLso many character issues with this guy...right in the heat of the pennant race, of course"While he couldn't divulge the exact reason why Marte was unavailable to play, Lovullo sent a message of love and care to him and wanted everyone to know that he is alright."No, not really. I love him, and I care for him. He'll be okay. He is fine. I want you guys to know that I just care about him. So does everybody in that room."Considering Lovullo was tight-lipped about Marte's absence, one has to imagine that the second baseman was dealing with a private matter. It's clear that whatever the situation is for Marte, it has impacted the rest of his team very heavily, even leaving Lovullo in tears." 21 hours ago21 hr The cubs fans reactions to last night are hilarious. Anyone who seriously thought they were going to go toe to toe with the Brewers was delusional. You have to be damn near perfect to challenge the Brewers down the stretch because they don't lose in the business end of the season.

1 hour ago1 hr Tatis, Jr. has been worth 25 fWAR the first five years of his 13 year deal.Still has 28-31 when he should still be in his prime, and then the last four years will look more like Machado and Bogaerts.Still, if you go by that one fWAR=$8 million of production, he has been worth $200 million already...and only needs to produce 16 more fWAR or 2/season. Hard to imagine he won't accomplish that before age 31 season is over, alone...completely disregarding the four years on the back end.
