I thought he was the best pitcher in the system ending last season and now he's walking 15 batters per 9.

35 minutes ago35 min We never had an SP depth. Not really sure you can consider some failed older prospects, two guys that came into the year with questions as younger prospects, and half a dozen guys recovering from some form of surgery as depth. We had some smoke and mirrors playing bad offenses in colder, bigger parks with some left stranded luck. Now we're playing better offenses in the June heat in smaller parks. We're bottom 1/4 in FIP and xFIP and are 26th in walk rate. I'm sorta glad that the Yankees are smacking the pitching around just to help people understand we're still pretty far away from being a legit good team. We're no longer bad, we're def mediocre, maybe even solid, but we're not good yet.

I don't think they'll load up with Skubal, Rosario and Alcantara late July. Pick up Robbie Ray, catch lightning with Mason Adams, and we get to buy some first round playoff gear this winter.

If they play .500 ball the rest of the way (with the hardest stretch of the season out of the way), that's 83 wins. 86 wins has made the post-season from the AL 3 of the last 4 seasons.
