Emerson might have made Carlson expendable.Roch makes one of Colson/Meidroth/Vargas maybe even Antonacci expandable soon enough? A while back, I suggested that the Sox trade Vargas after 27 if they aren't resigning him (that was a very popular suggestion). Roch could fit right in. Colson was annoying at the end of the season; but he's a good defender and with just a bit more contact.....Sox even have some other MI that look interesting. Maybe another Meidroth that we don't know about.I'm hoping Meidroth is the Sox version of Altuve for the next 10 years. the mental illness of trade frenzy. Trade players which we think will be of full value. This is what small market habitual losing organizations do. They are not the Brewers. Yet our crystal ball says Roch is a sure thing but we seem to forget this sport is also plagued with injuries. Sports are full of a "sure thing" but it doesn't always work that way. I love it when lower picks turn out. I always wondered what it is like to be a fan of a large market. We talk trades, they talk signings. We have a lot more in common with A's fans than Dodger's fans.
