January 3, 200422 yr For those interested, Soxtalk is going to have a madden challenge type of event. It will be played online using the standard rules and all that stuff. We are considering doing it two ways, depending on how many people join. Option A will be a single elimination tournament, which would work best if a lot of people were in. Option B would be like an 8 game season, where we'd keep records and everyone would essentially play everyone (the total games could change) and then a certain number of the teams (depending on how many sign up) would go to the playoffs. Anyway, if your interested you gotta have Madden 04 and online capabilities. Quitting results in an automatic forfeit. We'll need those that sign up to be able to play and they can schedule the games with the person they play each week. I should add, I am definately interested

Unless people on PS2 can play people on XBOX. I'm just assuming that ps2 is the system the majority of the users have, based on what I've read over the past year or so.

January 3, 200422 yr alright well this is how i do it, but this isn't the only way to do it. There is a cable running from your modem to your computer's network card. What i do is i just take the cable out from my network card and plug it into my ps2's network adapter. My PC and PS2 are right next to each other so it makes that easy, i know it's not so easy for others.
January 3, 200422 yr I am definetly in for this. My friends have named me the madden master. May I suggest something though? I think we should have a double elimination tournament, so we could have a consolation (losers) bracket, and be able to play for 3rd place, 5th place, etc.

January 4, 200422 yr yeah he's right.......vick isn't hard to stop. Make sure you have the linebackers split to the outside, and take away the corner.
