Brewers for sale.....

Featured Replies

I've seen in a couple places, including ESPN.com that Bud is selling the Brewers... I highly doubt it's the team Trump was talking about because I doubt they're worth 250m.

However, it should be interesting to see what happens with that team.... If you think the Sox have problems just look about 100 miles north

Well the Brewers won't be moving anytime soon. They have an iron clad lease, and I don't know how marketable the Brewers are. It will be interesting to see who goes after them and I can't see them being worth all that much. On the plus side they do have a very nice facility and some loyal fans.

Yea, Miller Park is a great place to watch a ballgame. I got to see Tony Gwynn's last game against the Brewers there, in which he got a pinch hit RBI double, and I got a free Bob Uecker bobblehead. :)

It can't be Bud selling the Brewers. I am not sure how much, if any, of the Brewers he still owns. Would it not be his daughter selling them though?

What a f***ing sleazebag move. They get the taxpayers of Milwaukee to buck up for a brand new stadium for them, free of cost, and they turn around and sell the whole franchise. Selig's showing those true colors again.

If I was a Brewers fan, I would consider this WONDERFUL news. They're locked in to a lease and can't move, and the Selig regime in Milwaukee has recently been worse than the Reinsdorf regime in Chicago.

At this point the taxpayers(fans) may be the happiest out of the deal.

If only I could see this news about the McCaskeys selling the Bears or Jerry Reinsdrip selling the White Sox, I would cry tears of joy.

Most people I know from Milwaukee/Green Bay (and I know at least 30), they all the same thing - who cares about the Brewers?
